I purchased a 2024 Honda Ridgeline from Friendly Honda and added the $854 lighted running boards, which were rolled into my financing and covered by an extended warranty. Within two months, the driver-side light failed. This has now happened five separate times in less than a year.
After being patient through five repair attempts, I asked Manager Michael Glynn to simply remove the defective product and provide a refund or credit toward a different style of running board. Instead of standing behind what they sold me, I was told to file a claim with Honda Corporate. Honda Corporate then claimed the part was out of warranty. For a dealership with "Friendly" in the name, they showed zero interest in customer retention or basic fairness. I am now stuck paying for a defective product that hasn't worked for more than two months at a time.
