"On the road......." traveling in our trailer! We had a wonderful experience purchasing our first travel trailer at Fretz RV. Mark Cain was great to help us decide what would work best for us and getting us started. They were also very kind to postpone our pick up date several times after we had car troubles. When we finally got our car back, Fretz and Mark worked us right in for pick up. Mark went over setting up and taking down and all the details re: the workings of the trailer. He gave us some great advise in several areas. Brian was very kind to work with in the financing department. We'd definitely recommend going to Fretz if you're interested in purchasing any type of travel vehicle. More

Our first RV We bought our first RV from your dealership. Luke Wilson was our salesman. We had been shopping for months but then we found exactly the RV We were looking for at a decent price at your dealership. We were surprised to learn after we test drove the RV that someone else had a deposit on the RV. Lucky for us they did not follow through and a week later we were the new owners. Luke did a good job explaining how everything worked on the RVs and we were excited to drive away. That was until we got about 6 miles away and the alarm for one of the jacks started going off. Of course at that time I just had entered the turnpike. I nursed the RV To the Allentown rest stop where I tried raising and lowering the leveling system 5 times hoping to clear the fault. The right rear jack was not going all the way up. I then called Luke and he told me to try and force it up with a 2 by 4 when I got home. I just spent $70,000+ and the solution was to try and force the jack? I told him I was not comfortable with that as I did not want to have an issue on my way home. Luke connected me to a service person who again told me to run the RV through the leveling cycle a few times, I told him I had done this. He said it would be fine to drive home the hydraulics were just a little rusty from sitting. I was told to spray them with WD 40 and it should fix the problem. I still have the issue... I feel as though someone from your organization should have met me at the Allentown rest area and either fix the issue or take it back to your shop. More
Good except for the prep. Having dealt with Fretz before I have always had a good opinion of them. Your prices are unbeatable and Pete is a very good salesman. I did have a Having dealt with Fretz before I have always had a good opinion of them. Your prices are unbeatable and Pete is a very good salesman. I did have a problem withe the motor homes prep. I expected to the unit to be ready to go and it was not. Seemed like all that was done was the gas tank filled and the propane tank filled. Had to wait for the water tank to be filled and also that the awning had a wIre disconnected and did not work. The big problem was with the refrigator would not work on 12 volt due to someone at the factory installng two relays in the wrong sockets. I can't fault your service techs. I had the same problem with a Winnebago View back in 2005 it had many things wrong from the factory. If the unit would have been prepaired properly my inspection and the salesman run thru could have been done in a few hours. I did not like having to be there over six hours. The repairs could have been done befor my arrival. More
Fretz RV: Awful salesperson, good customer service We ended up with a very nice Roadtrek Agile at a good price, but it was not a pleasant experience. Unfortunately the Fretz sales person I dealt wit We ended up with a very nice Roadtrek Agile at a good price, but it was not a pleasant experience. Unfortunately the Fretz sales person I dealt with (Al Papa) would tell me just about anything I wanted to hear, then not follow through on it. Among other things, he told me the oil would be changed by the local Mercedes dealer, he told me they would change the generator oil, he told me they would check/change the transmission fluid, he told me the van was all ready for pickup with all detailing done and the bathroom door rattle fixed. None of these turned out to be true. When asked, he went so far as to tell me that the transmission was sealed, and the fluid did not need to be checked or changed! The oil was changed, but by the dealership, with the wrong oil, and they put and extra ½ quart in so that on our way home the oil light came on – just what you want after you spent that kind of money on an RV! On the bright side, they worked hard to get the van 100% ready once we arrived to pick it up (thanks to Dave and another very helpful gentleman). They also compensated us for the failure to change the generator oil. In addition, they offered to come out and drain the extra oil as we sat at a truck stop wondering if we had just made a huge mistake, and they paid for a new oil change at our local MB dealer. They even offered to refund our money and come and pick up the RV if that was what we wanted. By this point, we were dealing with Eric Fasci, the GM, who made every effort to make sure we were satisfied, and apologized for the mix-ups and the behavior of the salesperson (Al Papa). I don’t know that I will ever deal with Fretz RV again, but in the end I felt that they were an honest dealership with some issues. So if you are thinking of buying there, beware, and , of course, get EVERYTHING in writing, down to the last detail, or you may be disappointed. More
