I purchased a used v.w certified 2010 with less then 20 k miles on a sat,I was dealing with the manger over used cars and was helpful,but after i purchased or signed the paperwork i asked for a copy of the v miles on a sat,I was dealing with the manger over used cars and was helpful,but after i purchased or signed the paperwork i asked for a copy of the v,w inspection report for my records along with the 2nd key? I was told by this manger we will take care of it,It was getting late by now and i needed to get home as this car was a birthday gift for my wife.On my way home i used the tollway and i noticed the car keep drifting and started vibrating.The next day i looked over the car much closer and found the rims were damaged along with the bumpers and they were painted a def,then the rest of the car,I know this car was a lees car and was under this dealership the hole time and i was certified by them? and had a 112 point check list that would have fixed all of it as good as new? So i took it right a way to the nearest certified v,w dealer witch was def,then the one i purchased it from.They looked it over and stated there was damage to all 4 rims and two were bent as far as the bumpers go they were repainted due to a accident and were repaired wrong and also had a total of over 15 things that needed repair! I also had to get a alignment just to keep from damaging the car any fuller.I called v,w customer care and faxed over paperwork from this inspection and they have been in contact with the manger of the purchasing dealership for almost two weeks and has had much resistance as i had.I did get a hold of the head manger and was told by him,I should have seen the prob,s before i bought it? This is not what v,w certified means fixed as good as new and all repairs are maid before you buy it? I strongly feel quality of work was very bad and the dealership did not back it up.. More
Mike was great. I walked in with a goal in mind and a trade in and he made it happen. I bought my last tdi from a different dealership and that was a PAINFUL experience. This experience was great. Peter was very helpful and honest. Had a problem with some financing issues. But Once Jim the GM got involved we were able to get to a level ground. Overall Jake the sales guy was great. As the car price came down so did the value of our trade-in. Having come in because they were our local dealer and with our homework done, they low-balled our trade-in and refused to meet another deal trade-in. They suggested we go to Carmax to see what our truck was worth,and we did! Carmax's offer came in exactly where we thought our trade-in should, and we ended up buying a used 2012 Volkswagen with 5 thousand miles (and still under warranty) and saved our self 9000 dollars. Ferdinado was nice but had to run to the boss for everything we asked. Thanks, Fox Valley for the tip to go to Carmax! All I can say is feel free to walk away. No recommendation for this dealer. More
Mike K. Is a true asset to Fox Valley Volkswagen. There was no pushy sales and Mike took the time to show me exactly what I wanted to see. On my first visit I asked just to test drive the Passat and didn't was no pushy sales and Mike took the time to show me exactly what I wanted to see. On my first visit I asked just to test drive the Passat and didn't purchase the car he didn't chase me out the door to prod me if I would buy the car, as other dealerships had. He was very patient with me and the three other critics I brought on my second trip, to again look at some of the vehicles. The car I wanted wasnt in stock, but he made sure to find it and get it to me with everything I wanted. I am now in a 2012 Jetta TDI, loaded, with manual transmission. Thanks Mike I will recommend you and Fox Valley Volkswagen to all my friends and family. More
I started my new car search a week ago and was talking to two different dealerships. I was just about to decide on who to use when Fox Valley got involved. They gave me hands down the best price for my trade in as well as the new vehicle. I have never been to a dealership that gets down to business as well as these guys. My sales associate, Lauren Tansey, was extremely helpful and knowledgable. She is younger and energetic, and really made me feel comfortable throughout the whole process. They did not have the car on site, and they offered to go and pick it up for me during my visit, just to complete the process that much faster. I cannot stress how helpful Lauren was, her ability to make this process simple and fun made deciding on this dealership a great decision. From the internet sales associate, Alana, to the floor sales associate, Lauren,and to the financing department, there is not a bad thing to say about my experience. More
