The correct answer is "we'll check that out when you bring it in and get back to you on that issue." Then if the problem can't be easily diagnosed, the option for a $140 search can be explained. You will lose customers very quickly if they feel they cannot bring up strange issues with their vehicle without paying a non-refundable fee! More
