I was in the market for a Bronco Sport Outer Banks, saw this one on line but said it was in transit, Frank contacted me & told me the vehicle was there on the lot!!! Immediately went to Ford Coutry, Frank had the vehicle waiting for me up front, I test drove it & loved it!!! Frank also showed me another vehicle because I had a price for what I wanted to spend & this vehicle was more expensive!!! Frank and I believe the gentleman’s name was Melvin went to work and proceeded to work everything out to my satisfaction & amazement!!! It was relatively quick & Ford has a truly happy customer!! Frank then went to work on cleaning and preparing the vehicle to take home! When the financial side was signed the car was waiting for me. I want to recognize Frank & Melvin first and foremost, but also the gentleman who did financial side and the lady who helped me set up the electronic side!! I am sorry I don’t remember their names! Ford Country strikes me as very “Glengarry GlenRoss”: Once the smiley “I’m Here to Help” firm has collected its money, there appears to be little concern about its own reputation, or ensuring that the customer feels he has a gotten a fair deal, or even for generating repeat business. For me, it certainly has raised the question, “Which is worse? Being misled or being ignored?” One can end up feeling pretty bad about themselves having done business with Ford Country, whether they are a buyer, financer, title company, someone shopping for service, or just browsing, based on my experience. This Ford Country encounter contributes to that chasm of mistrust among Americans at a time when we certainly could use something positive to say about each other. It’s a perfect illustration of how NOT to treat - anyone. What a disappointment to end up with such bad impressions of other humans. As the famous movie quote goes, “And for what?
