I have owned the following 1972 Toyota Corolla SR5 1980 Toyota 1982 Forerunner 1984 Previa Van 1986 Camery 1992 Land Cruiser 2000 Forerunner 2004 Forerunner 2006 Avalon 2006 Forerunner 2008 Forerunner 2008 FJ 2012 Tacoma All of the above except the Tacoma were bought in MA through trusted Toyota relationships. Woburn Toyota, Herb Chambers and Sullivan Toyota. All knew I was a repeat customer and treated me fair and honest. I can name every sales person I bought these cars from. To have reached out to Perry and your dealership and having not heard a word has been very disappointing. I love the product but would be hard pressed to recommend you dealership to anyone. On the way out to Austin I had a chance to review all the documents supplied to me on purchasing the Tacoma. I have to say I was a bit shocked when I realized you charged me full price for the Tacoma. When we started the conversation I told you I wanted to buy the truck for $31,000 and didn't want to pay the $1,000 pin stripping fee. You assured me a number of times that would not be a problem. So when I read that I paid full retail for this truck I imagined you guys all getting a great laugh over how dumb you must have thought I must be. I know I was sucked into all the extras in the business managers office, again shame on me, but I knew he was working me and it made sense at the time. I can live with that, education is expensive. The Toyota dealers I have dealt with in the past knew me as a solid customer and didn't ever up sell me. My reason for the email is to let you know that Toyota and your office has canvassed me a number of times since the purchase. I have not responded because I wanted to let you know how bad I felt about the purchase. I am not sure what can be done as I am sure you all have been paid and after a week this is probably history. The staff, Randy Salter, was accommodating to our questions and needs. When I called back for questions or concerns, he responded quickly and with the exact information that I wanted. I was very particular as to the car and price that would fit my needs and my budget. Without hesitation, Randy Salter and Toyota West worked to find and get the car in stock. It was a great experience. The dealership did the job. It was service that no other dealership of any carmaker had ever given to my wife and me. We felt important; we got a good car at a fair price; we felt comfortable; and the service was great. My compliments to the dealer. But, as any marketing team would know, the sales rep is the key. My appreciation and respect go out to Randy Salter. More
First, My wife and I first met Cordell in 2009 when we traded a 1994 Camry in for the 2009 Model that was upgraded to the 2012 Model that we've just completed pruchase on; and we were impressed with his s traded a 1994 Camry in for the 2009 Model that was upgraded to the 2012 Model that we've just completed pruchase on; and we were impressed with his salesmanship in 2009. And he worked with us in late 2011 on an upgrade that never materialized because of Toyoto's policies concerning payment history. Second, Codell possess the necessary skills it takes to deal with people(not all sales representatives have this)and his demeanor and persona makes dealing with him a pleasant experience in purchasing a vehicle. He also demonstrated concern for what we were wanting in upgrading to a newer vehicle and that was accomplished with the vehicle that we have now. And last, my wife and feel that Cordell went above and beyond in the sale of the car that we now have and he showed much concern with making sure that we got what we wanted with working with Mike to make sure both parties (we and the bank) we satisfied with this purchased. My wife and I have been dealing with Toyoto West for 18 years with the purchase of two(2) cars and we feel that this sale is by far the best one we've made since, we feel it may not have been possible without Cordell Hughes. We had a great experience buying from Toyota West. Cordell was wonderful. He did not pressure us at all, answered all of our questions, and put up with our quirks. Cordell was able to find the exact car that my wife wanted and she is a NO compromise person. He also arranged for the car to be delivered at a time that was most accommodating for us since we were traveling on or about the delivery date. It is also worth noting that all of our paper-work was ready when we arrived for pickup. It was one of the smoothest car purchases I have made in years (I've purchased a lot of cars). Recently we bought a new BMW from Hendrick....The people were nice but it took us forever to complete the paper-work and leave the dealer. I also have to give a "thumbs up" to Mike Guley. He was super. Fast, fun, and efficient. What a great and unusual skills set for a "numbers" guy. Hats off to the whole Toyota West Team. Dr and Mrs Board More
