Had a problem with my new X5, the onboard apps could not connect with the backend. Spent 45 minutes on the phone with a BMW Genius, we couldn’t resolve the problem. Called Flemington BMW and they got me in connect with the backend. Spent 45 minutes on the phone with a BMW Genius, we couldn’t resolve the problem. Called Flemington BMW and they got me in within the hour. Met with Service Advisor Laura Varga, she had Will one of their Genius’ check the car out, he spent about 45 minutes trying things I couldn’t have done over the phone with the first Genius. Unfortunately he couldn’t resolve the issue either. They then provided me with a loaner and the checked the TCU later that day and found that it was working properly so they had to contact BMW because it was a backend problem. I know Will spent a couple of ours on the phone over the next couple of days with the regional rep trying to the issue resolved and escalated. I had to return to the dealer with my car about a week later to pick my registration up and stopped to see if Will had heard anything. He thought the problem had been resolved, he said let’s go check it out. I tried to place an emergency call via the onboard system and it would not connect. We wen back inside and spoke to Laura, he and Will decided to contact another BMW rep and a few days later the issue was resolved.
