I have to say that under the leadership of Terry Rich, this dealership is THE MOST PLEASANT to work with. I LOVE my car. I LOVED the experience. I swore I would never own a Ford car but have since decided to give Ford a chance after the federal bailout for all the other American made car dealers. Ford was NOT included in that bailout because they are obviously a fiscally responsible corporation. My husband and I have purchased trucks from Terry Rich in the past so Terry knew of my feeling on Ford passenger cars. I am sure he was as surprised as I was that I made that call to him! Terry also knew that my past vehicles were Acuras and BMWs but he asked me to try out the Edge. I did and now I am the owner of the most comfortable vehicle I have ever owned. Justin Compton was my sales person. He was really great to work with. My wife and I hadn't bought a new car in about nine years, but I still had bad memories of the car buying process. I kept asking Justin if that's all I needed to do and commented how smooth things were going and he would just say "Buying a car is not supposed to be hard to do". I really appreciated that. All together, I spent less than 90 minutes at the dealership. In addition, everyone else there is always wanting to make sure the customer is happy. I would definitely recommend Justin and Five Star. I bought a used 2006 Escape two years ago through Marie Chase in the Fleet department. I financed through my credit union, and they put me on a tight budget. Marie did a fantastic job getting me into a great vehicle at a great price. She connected me with Jonathan Pierzinski in the service department for my first oil change. I came back to him when the 90,000 and 100,000 mile services were due. He made me a great deal on both services and a few extra, restoring my faith that the best place to have maintenance done is the dealership. There is no way I could have had that much done for less anywhere else. I felt when I first left with the vehicle that I had gotten a pretty good deal, and found out last month just how good it really was. With just 5 months left on the loan, I had an accident in the Escape. I brought it back to 5-Star Ford’s body shop for repairs. Jamie Jones handled my vehicle, and took care of me just as well as everyone else had. After a couple of weeks the insurance company wound up totaling it out. As disappointing as that was, the offer they made me for it was less than $500 below the price I paid for it two years and 50,000 miles earlier. Since I had such a great experience with everyone I dealt with at 5-Star Ford, I went right back to Marie to replace my Escape. This time the credit union gave me much more to work with, so last Friday I picked up my brand new 2010 Mustang GT convertible from Marie. She pointed out to me a small paint blemish on the driver side door, and set me up with Jamie to have it taken care of. For the second time in as many years I left this dealership with the feeling that I got more than my money’s worth, and that no matter what may happen I know that the people there have my back. They have a fantastic group in North Richland Hills. If they treat everyone that comes in the way they treated me, then there is no other place to buy a vehicle in town. I grew up in a very small town with one Ford dealership, and my family knew the owners very well; my dad fished bass tournaments with one of them. I feel at your dealership the same way I did there. It was a Saturday and I was on a mission. Just one week left until my 40th wedding anniversay and wanting to surprise my wife with a new car on our anniversay, and I already knew exactly what model I wante left until my 40th wedding anniversay and wanting to surprise my wife with a new car on our anniversay, and I already knew exactly what model I wanted (fully loaded EDGE) and what colors scheme. Stopped at another Ford dealership, actually closer to my home, but all the sales folks were too busy to wait on me. Left and headed to 5-Star Ford. Looked around the car lot and then went into the show room. Ollie Jackson offered to help me. We first took a satisfactory test drive and then I explained to Ollie, the anniversary thing, and what I wanted to pursue in the car finish out, colors scheme, etc etc. We negotiated on my trade-in and it was eventually acceptable to me. Then we had to find the car with the finish out and color scheme that I was requiring. It was not in their inventory, nor in the inventory of their associate plants in the area. I was not flexible in my color scheme requirements. Ollie explained she would need to search farther out, which wound up taking a few days. The clock was ticketing on meeting my deadline objective. I was out of town most of that next week in Wisconsin. On Wednesday, I got a call saying they had found the target vehicle in south Texas and were making arrangements to get in transferred up to 5-Star and get it into make-ready for me on Friday. I returned from out of town on Thursday night and went to 5-Star Ford on Friday to work out the financing options and get the financing process completed, etc. I worked out a plan with Ollie where I would pick up the new vehicle first thing on Saturday morning, our anniversary. When I arrived, Ollie had everything in order and had even prepared a very large red bow for me to put on the car for presentation to my wife. Got back home before I wife woke up that morning. My wife was VERY surprised and excited with her anniversary present. Mission accomplished, thanks to Ollie Jackson and the other folks at 5-Star Ford. More
I arrived at the service dept. and it was packed - all I needed was someone to look at my tire that was slowly leaking air - it was handled quickly and professionally and at a very reasonable price. We had been referred to Justin through a friend that HIGHLY recommended him. We arrived and about 1 minute after asking for him he appeared and immediately showed us to the trucks we were interested in viewing also explaining the differences between the two models (F150 FX2 and F150 XLT). We quickly found a FX2 that was a great deal and exactly what we had been looking for (black, sporty, 4 door, roomy, GOOD price). We all proceeded to go inside (did not stay out in the heat long, he was VERY considerate that I am pregnant and the heat can easily get to me), he asked us to sit in his office while he went to get the truck ready to test drive, he offered us a drink while we waited. About 2 minutes later we were test driving without Justin and were able to really explore the truck and discuss the value openly with each other. When we cam back to the dealership Justin quickly went through the pricing explaining how we could get the maximum rebates on the truck and estimating the pricing with our trade in. With very little haggling we got the price we wanted for our trade in, the overall price on the truck we wanted! He made the entire negotiation take about 20 minutes!!! Much better than our last time at another dealership that negotiated for 5 hours!!! While they were finishing detailing the truck he asked if we would like to go grab a bite to eat instead of waiting (again VERY considerate of my being pregnant!). We left in our trade in car and came back, wrapped up our paperwork with the finance guy (Mo, wonderful guy!) and were done in about an hour after returning. Very friendly staff all around, no long drawn out negotiating, fantastic vehicle out of the whole deal! Could not be happier with our experience! More
I always hate to buy new cars,however this time it was very satisfying. That was because Doreen made it that way. The price was right--the salesperson was right--Jim in finance was right, so we left with our new f150 fx2 truck. We even took it back in and had a blown in bedliner installed.
