So I bought a new 2014 Ford Focus last weekend and I was in and out the same day. I test drove the Focus I came in to look at because it was on sale. Something was wrong with that car, (which was a standard/base model) so since there was a problem with the first car, they offered me their other Focus SE with many upgrades from the showroom for the same price as the less expensive car on sale. Jay Vasconcellos did my financing, and they gave me top price for my trade in. Both Jay and Mark were very professional, and down to earth. Jay explained every step of the way, and made sure I understood everything that I was signing for, and if the fee or service was optional, he pointed that out so I could make my own decision. No hidden fees or surprises. Since the car I purchased was in the showroom, when it came time to move cars and get mine ready to go, about six guys all came in from the service department to speed up the process and help each other check over the car. I was really impressed how they worked together and made my car a priority at the end of a long day car shopping. Finally, since I drove a distance to reach First Ford in Fall River, Mark and Jay understood that I wanted to finish the deal as soon as possible. I was very happy to know that one visit was all it took to do my trade, test drive, get financing and leave with my new car. Every staff member I spoke to was very friendly and helpful. More
Poor Service These folks have no clue how to run a repair shop, I brought my 2010 Explorer in for service with a oil leak and a left front growling noise. This is These folks have no clue how to run a repair shop, I brought my 2010 Explorer in for service with a oil leak and a left front growling noise. This is a company car so I instructed them to fix what they find wrong. After 3 days of having the vehicle they claimed to put dye in it so they can determine where it was leaking from. They said I might need a engine or at least pull it so they could fix the rear main. They asked me to pick it up, drive it a couple of days then bring it back Ofcourse they charged me a couple hundred for that. I asked the service advisor if they atleast fixed the growl and she said yes "all-set". I drove the vehicle home and the growl was still there. The next day I left a message for the Service Manager which he didn't even bother to call me back. I was in total disbelief with this dealership, this was the forth vehicle I purchased there and will be the last. I took the truck to Sullivan tire and got all the work done for a fraction of the cost. More
AVOID FIRST FORD HORRIBLE SERVICE! --- Entered First Ford (Fall River) with money in hand, ready to buy a car and received terrible service. The salesman had zero know HORRIBLE SERVICE! --- Entered First Ford (Fall River) with money in hand, ready to buy a car and received terrible service. The salesman had zero knowledge of the cars on the lot (I had to tell him the specs on the cars he showed me) and he had virtually no charisma (It was almost like I was inconveniencing him). I came with full intention to buy a 2014 Ford Focus and when I had asked the associate if I could get some money off the vehicle since I was paying the full amount in cash, he replied, "No. We prefer it if you pay in small pieces so we can make more money off of your interest." So instead of First Ford having a car paid in full and an empty spot to fill with another car (potential next sale), they lost a customer for life. Not to mention my poor recommendation to all future consumers. Tip for First Ford: Your Sales Associates are the face of your company. You may want to invest a little more time into picking employees who want the best for their customers and their business. NOTE: Mark Gauthier was not the one that this occurred with, but the review made me pick a name and the particular associate was not listed here. More
Deathtrap and no service I purchased an 09 VW 10 days or so ago. After waiting a week or so for the title to come in and some body work repairs that they didn't tell me about I purchased an 09 VW 10 days or so ago. After waiting a week or so for the title to come in and some body work repairs that they didn't tell me about when I bought the car via the phone I finally received the car. I purchased the "certified" vehicle for my 17 year old who had just totaled a similar VW that I had purchased a month earlier. The car held up very well in a front collision at 35 mph so I figured she'd be safe. After all the grease wore off they put on the tires I found them to be cracked with thousands of 1/8 inch deep cuts in the tread. The car had come from Las Vegas and the heat damaged the tires and should have been replaced and not greased up to look good. Is the tire grease acceptable under the 250 point certification process? The following day my daughter informed me that the car was out of washer fluid. I filled the tank and nothing came out. I found the tank was not even hooked up to the spray jets. I hooked it up and the water barely hit the bottom of the windshield. The next day I noticed the washer tank had emptied all over the driveway. It has a hole in it. Another part of the 250 point safety inspection on your certified vehicle??? The first time I closed the rear trunk the third brake light fell out. I just don't know how so many things could be missed??? Last night my daughter was driving the car around a corner at 35 and the car shut off, killing the steering and accelerator, almost causing her to get into an accident. I called the dealership today at 9am and asked them to pick it up. They said they'd get back to me shortly and asked if I'd call AAA to have it towed. Sorry but defective cars that dealers sell doesn't qualify. I called back at 10:30 and was told the same thing. I called at 12:30 and again at 2:30. At 3pm they told me they were leaving now and were sending up 2 people to pick it up. At 8pm I gave up. Thanks to all the staff including the owner for absolutely nothing. This has been my second worst car purchase experience out of the 30 or so cars I've purchased. It's not even the issues with the car as much as the poor service, lies and general attitude of the staff. They are pleasant on the phone but don't expect anything more. FYI the registration finally arrived today after sitting on the salesman's desk for 10 days. More
I usually HATE car shopping but this experience was so I usually HATE car shopping but this experience was so different I just had to write a review. I went in looking at a new escape, when I arrived at I usually HATE car shopping but this experience was so different I just had to write a review. I went in looking at a new escape, when I arrived at the dealership I was greeted by Richard, not at all what I expected he was defiantly not your typical "car salesman" . He was polite courteous knowledgeable and showed me everything about the escape. I was all ready for the "bait and switch routine" When I showed him the add price from the newspaper, but he said "sure we Have several at that price, what color do you like". I WAS STUNNED! This was the first time I have ever gone to a dealership and been able to buy a vehicle at the advertised price. no games no stories just "what color would I like". But this story actually gets better, I was speaking to his manager, Dave Belmore, after I picked out my Escape (Ruby Red) and he asked me a few more questions, My zip code, and what my husband had for a car, and then told me I qualified for another unadvertised rebate and the Escape would be $500. LESS than the advertised price! I was so thrilled, they could have easily kept the rebate, I was already happy with the advertised price, but he went out of his way to save me even more money! just a wonderful experience from beginning to end. so glad I stopped in. I will be sending everyone I know there to buy a car! Thanks Guys! More

Towed the car to First Ford, they performed an 'Adjustment' on a wiring harness and claimed that this is not covered under warranty. Paid $150+ dollars for the 'repair' and $100 deductible. Picked up the car and the very next day the same issue with no starting. Called them back and now they tell me the car has to go to a GM dealer since they do not have the software to diagnose the issue. Another tow, another 6 days in the shop and another $100 deductible paid. After many phone calls and e-mails to First Ford, visited the Service department in person since they do not return phone calls or e-mails! I was basically told I was out of luck. You would think that they would have had a little sympathy in that the car was effectively out of commission for two weeks and I'm out over $250. Disappointed and will never return or recommend them to any friends or family. More
