Good Day Rex, We are truly sorry your experience was opposite of how we strive to have our guests’ wrap up working with our team. We take customer service at Findlay Subaru Prescott very serious. During our discussions with you, regarding the car you were shopping for, we made significant concessions (in regards to the vehicle’s price) – well below the independent, 3rd party great value ratings of the advertised price. Each time we met your request, a new request was presented before us. The CarFax for each pre-owned vehicle in our inventory is available on our site, inside of each vehicle, as well as provided during the visit. Our apologies that during your visit to meet with Javon, who was awaiting your arrival during our Grand Opening, however, it looks like you arrived at a different location, where our inventory & team are not located. That hiccup was frustrating on both sides, as our team did not know you were here. The vehicle you were looking at is in good condition, and we did not scoff at your request to take it to your mechanic for an inspection. During that inspection, your mechanic noticed one of the struts had a minor leak, along with a need for a tire balance. We offered to rotate & balance the tires for you. Unfortunately, during the negotiations that brought our sales price well below the dollar amount we own the car for, we were unable to add to our loss by replacing the struts. Our team worked diligently to satisfy your list of requests, our apologize that you left with a bad taste in your mouth.

Frank, thank you for giving us the opportunity to try and make a deal on the new Subaru you were looking at. Unfortunately, we were unable to do so. This was despite our team putting a significantly larger trade value on your current vehicle than our guidelines generally would allow, especially for a car that would need $750 worth of tires. The deal that was discussed over the phone was honored, yet additional negotiation was attempted during the visit on your end. Our inability to properly explain how the sales tax credit works, to further increase your trade value is a learning experience, and we will continue to work on how to better educate our guests of this program. I also apologize that we did not fully explain our process over the phone, as our Customer Care team handles inquiries, and we have a dedicated team of specialists for the test drive, product demonstrations, so on & so forth. This is another item we will work to include in every conversation regarding appointments. We do hope you the best of luck in your new Subaru search, at the terms you dictated.
