Returning to Canada from my first driving trip to Florida. The service engine light came on near Winter Park on a Friday afternoon. Without an appointment, Kerry and her team at Fields BMW was able diagnose the issue and provided a few options for my BMW. Left my car for repair over the weekend and drove home on Tuesday. I have been having my BMW's serviced at Fields BMW in Winter Park since 2013. Since then, I have had nothing but exceptional service with each of the 4 BMW's I've owned. My experience with Fields BMW beg Winter Park since 2013. Since then, I have had nothing but exceptional service with each of the 4 BMW's I've owned. My experience with Fields BMW began upon meeting Michael Abney in the service department. I had just moved from NY at the time and Michael made me feel so welcome and valued since day one. As the years progressed Michael continued to treat my kids and me as if we were family, which I appreciated even more being a single parent. Part of the reason I continued to purchase BMW's was because of the ease of having my cars serviced. As I had mentioned I am a single parent, and with my hectic schedule and 2 little boys always by my side, having a loner vehicle was of great importance to me. Fast forwarding to 2023, I had just purchased another BMW and was ready to bring it in for its first service. I scheduled my appointment requesting a loner vehicle just as I had done over the past 10 years. However, this time I received a callback stating that I was not able to get a loner vehicle as I did not purchase my car from Fields. I was very confused and explained that none of my BMW's had ever been purchased at Fields (my experience with the sales department left much to be desired). The response I was met with was that loaner vehicles are only for our valued customers but that I could get an Uber ride within 10 miles, which does me no good as I live 21 miles away. I politely explained my frustration, despite being told that after 10 years and 4 BMW's later, I was not a valued customer. I was then asked to wait on hold while the agent checked with the manager, only to be given the same response. I was so taken aback and quite honestly, offended that after all these years and $, I was not considered a valued customer who could receive a loaner vehicle. Nonetheless, I had to cancel my appointment as I simply cannot be without a car. I'm left not knowing how I'm going to ever manage getting this car serviced. I don't think they understand how something so simple could cause so much stress and inconvenience to me and my family. More
Horrible service experience yet again. Automatic seat belt mechanism broke. Dealership said it was not a warranty issue in my 2 yr old 2021 430i w 12,000 miles. I went back to the dealership (because you can't call or email anyone in charge) to speak to the service manager who was in a meeting and was given his telephone number. I called, left a message and was never called back. I received a text message from a different person who claimed to be the service manager asking about my experience several days later. I texted back re this issue and never heard back. I found a local body shop to fix it for $360. This should have been a warranty covered issue. This is not my first bad experience with both the service and sales departments. I have been a customer of theirs for 21 years (8 leases) and I keep hoping things will improve but no way. I will never do business with this dealership again. Beware. More
