I recently purchased a Yukon XL and two days after driving it, a “service rear camera” message came on the the touch screen monitor. I looked up my local GMC, which was Faulkner in West Chester, and driving it, a “service rear camera” message came on the the touch screen monitor. I looked up my local GMC, which was Faulkner in West Chester, and brought it in for service. A few hours later I received a call letting me know that the Yukon XL was ready to be picked up. I told the gentleman on the phone ( I believe his name is Mr. Platt, who assisted me at the service department ) that I had a few questions about the car. He told me that if he answered any questions about the car, he would have to charge me an hourly rate, and that the sales person was supposed to have answered all of my questions at time of purchase. I explained to him that the gentleman who assisted me with the purchase was new and didn’t know much about GMCs (I purchased the Yukon XL at a non GMC dealership). I told him that the Yukon XL was a GMC, and that they are supposed to answer any questions that I may have about their cars. He told me that it wasn’t their car and that if I was okay with paying his hourly rate then he would answer my questions. So, I said okay, no worries, I’ll just go over to the sales department and ask the front desk. A few minutes later, I received a call from a gentleman in the sales dept, who said that he would answer any questions I had about the car. Mr. Platt’s behavior was very unprofessional, he should be trained on how to treat customers. Everyone else was very nice and courteous, especially the lady at the checkout dept. More
