Family Hyundai service dept is AWESOME !!!! They are extremely busy and backlogged but Mike the service manager was able to get my Tucson serviced for me. The service rep Collin is a liar and had a nasty disposition when called out about putting after markets parts on my vehicle without my permission. He lied and stated he did inform me and later stated he made the executive decision to save me money. He even lied and stated I needed my vehicle back soon and could not wait for Hyundai parts. I have a brand new 2022 Genesis GV70 that was purchased from the same dealership the beginning of November. So there was no rush to get my Santa Fe back and it was a week in service before the it was inspected. I have tried to work with Collin time after time and it is always a problem with him not listening, documenting my concerns to have them corrected and trying to fast talk me. I recently had to replace a light that had a short in the wiring and I complained to Collin for three years or more before the faulty wire melted the harness and light. I have also complained about the short in the license plate bulb for 4 years or more and now they finally recommend to replace the wire after the vehicle is out of warranty. I said I would never purchase another Hyundai but because I fell in love with the Genesis I purchased another vehicle from Hyundai. Collin needs to learn to have better customer service, be mindful of his tone when speaking to a client and be HONEST!! You will not make commission every time someone bring their vehicle into service. Also they didn’t even have the decency to wash my vehicle after spending over $1k in repairs. More
My wife brought in a car which the dealer did work on. Front tie rods. After the work, the front two tires had the lug nuts cross threaded. I am a Union worker for local 134. I have had many items cross threaded before an know what it’s like to take apart a bolt that’s been cross threaded. Upon getting work done and trying to take the front wheels off, the lugs would not break and when they did the one lug broke off. After two hours of fighting, Mike evaluated the situation and decided he would do us a “favor” and replace the one cross threaded wheel stud even though the front 8 where all cross threaded. They said they would “eat the cost” but would not do “any other favors” which I find odd since my electric company only eats the cost on items that’s the company in fact messed up. He threw the paper work at my wife and said this was the last favor he would do. They tried everything they could to blame another shop even though they are the only ones who have ever serviced our vehicle, and took the tires on and off. They did in fact provide a detailed history report which they said specifies that the wheels where NOT taken off. The report was printed for me and NO WHERE in it does it say wether the wheels where taken off or not. VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. I would never treat a client the way I or my wife was treated in this place and I work with clients for big company’s everyday. If I spoke or treated them with such attitude, I would no longer have a job. We have owned the car since 2012. We get oil chances and that’s all. We have not had any other problems with the vehicle. I am very surprised with how very unprofessional especially, for worker who are union. Very bad representation of family Hyundai and I would never go back which is sad because the car itself had no issues. We will be filing a report with the BBB More
