I made these appointments months in advance over the phone, and my husband called to confirm that there were in fact two appointments the week prior. I don't know what happened to our second appointment in the interim, but as someone who also manages a large customer service team, my response to a customer like me would've been to accept responsibility for whatever error happened and proceed as though the appointment was still in place.
