Unbelievable! I turned in my leased vehicle and purchased a used SUV. They lost/misplaced/stole the turned in vehicle and now the leased vehicle manufacturer is calling me saying I never turned it in. How do a used SUV. They lost/misplaced/stole the turned in vehicle and now the leased vehicle manufacturer is calling me saying I never turned it in. How does that happen? How do you lose a WHOLE CAR! More
A totally low pressure, friendly experience. My son was buying and responded to a newspaper add. He enlisted me to come with him. We parked the car and were greeted by salesman Gary who took us straight to buying and responded to a newspaper add. He enlisted me to come with him. We parked the car and were greeted by salesman Gary who took us straight to the vehicle we were interested in. He fetched the keys and we took it for a test drive. I know they say you're not supposed to say what you want to pay per month -- and we didn't...we just looked sad -- UNTIL they dropped the price by $3,000... After purchase service was astonishing...a small chip in the windshield which wasn't noticed at time of purchase resulted in a NEW windshield...A/C problems resulted in a NEW motor no muss no fuss. Went in to purchase a GM "executive driven" car. "Retail" price posted on the car was close to three thousand dollars OVER the original MSRP of the car and this car wasnt even brand new it was a year old wit price posted on the car was close to three thousand dollars OVER the original MSRP of the car and this car wasnt even brand new it was a year old with over four thousand miles on it. I went to the GM web site and used the build my own tool. No matter how much I added in options, I couldnt get this vehicle to MSRP a dime above 48900 yet Kerbeck is selling it used for 52500. They then "discount" the car 5000 and "give" you a 2000 gift card, all the while the car is only worth 45000 to begin with. They move fast and you have to really be alert and keep your eye on the ball. After playing the number game for an hour and after some high fives and hand shaking the deal was "done". An hour later I go into F and I and told my wife would be needed on the loan. NO ONE on the sales team ever mentioned that so I said no deal. F& I manager went over to sales and "works it out". Then I realize my payment was 5 dollars more a month than agreed upon. Again F&I manager calls the sales guy and "works it out". I told him if he wasnt 100% sure of the deal I didnt want to take the vehicle. He assured me all was well and there would be no problems. Two days later I get a call that there was a "problem" with the deal and my wife would need to be added to the loan. Fortunately I was able to return the car and walk away. GAME OVER fortunately in my favor. These guys are "old school" car dealers. In their TV ad Charlie says they will treat you with respect and honesty. In reality they insult your intellegence and inflate prices and hope that you are not an educated customer, although they do it with a smile. What they failed to pick up on during my conversation with them over the time I was there is that I am a the fleet manager in my organization and am looking to upgrade a fleet of 80 trucks in the next two years. I can say this, it wont be with Kerbeck. More
We purchased 2006 Cadillac CTS from FC Kerbeck & Sons in Palmyra NJ after being warned not to go to this dealership. The sales experience was OK.We recently took the car back for general service, 4/13/10.The Palmyra NJ after being warned not to go to this dealership. The sales experience was OK.We recently took the car back for general service, 4/13/10.The service experience was OK but obviously not a friendly one as compared to other dealership experiences. When I picked up my car following general service, I and my wife told the service manager that both my front and rear chrome license plate frames (I have personalized tags on my car) were removed and replaced with the dealership FC Kerbeck frames.I told him on the spot about this.I was assured that this would be looked into and that I would either get my chrome frames returned to me or would be reimbursed for their value.I went back several times with no answer or my returned chrome frames.Mr. Szymborski assured me that this would be given to his boss.As of today I have neither received my chrome frames back, reimbursement or phone call.THIS WAS OUTRIGHT THEFT.Richard G. I purchased a car from them and it has been a nightmare every since. The car has been in for service 8 times in a year and a half. After taking it to a body shop I found out it had been in a accident tha every since. The car has been in for service 8 times in a year and a half. After taking it to a body shop I found out it had been in a accident that was not on the car fax given to me by FC Kerbeck. They sell lemons. I have just contacted a lawyer. More
I recently purchased a used Cadillac from FC Kerbeck. I drove it off the lot that night, despite the fact that some things needed to be done to the car: A weather strip needed to be replaced, the dash need drove it off the lot that night, despite the fact that some things needed to be done to the car: A weather strip needed to be replaced, the dash needed to be secured, and the car needed to be detailed. I returned the car 3 days later to have these items finished. They kept my car for 5 days and they never called to notify me that the car was ready to be picked up. After finally getting my car back, I told Ed Mauer (salesman) that I no longer wanted the car and requested my money back, since they offer a 5 day 300 mile money back guarantee. Ed said that it was over the 5 days. I argued that I only had the car for 3 days, and the dealer had the car for an additional 5 days in order to complete the items on the punchlist. So the fact that they kept my car over the 5 day limit, screwed me when I wanted to return the car. The other reason why I hate FC KERBECK is because they treat you like a NUMBER. You are not a customer to them, you are a NUMBER. After they sell you a car, they wont remember your name (they may remember your face) but I guarantee after 2 weeks, they will forget who the xxxx you are. For instance, when they had my car for that 5 day period, they never called me once to give me an update of the status of the car. I actually went to the dealer on the 4th day in hopes that the car would be finished. When I got there, no one knew where my car was or had any idea of the status of the car. They told me to stop back the next day. I said I am not stopping back until you call me to notify me that my car is finished. I left my phone number for the salesman to call me to notify me when the car was done. I never received a phone call. I did go back the next day and was able to pick up my car. BUT.... the car had never been detailed (which they agreed to do). It's been 2 weeks since I originally bought the car and I am going to sell it already. I am probably going to lose about $5k as a result of this experience, but I'd rather lose that much money than to have to deal with these RUTHLESS Dealership. I strongly recommend that NO ONE... I MEAN NO ONE... ever purchase a car from FC Kerbeck. Your better off going to the dealer down the street... their prices may not be as good, but I gaurantee their service and your experience dealing with them will far outway the additional cost of the car. Typical "price per month" only dealer who doesn't share the real numbers until you sign. I told the salesman I have done work in Charlie Kerbeck's personal home, so I didn't think I had to pick the deal a the real numbers until you sign. I told the salesman I have done work in Charlie Kerbeck's personal home, so I didn't think I had to pick the deal apart- well, that got me a new lease with a cap reduction cost of 3% off of MSRP. Shame on me for "trusting" a car dealer. BEWARE! More
