Drove 45 minutes from Guilford CT to get a extra key for my 2008 Eos (just purchased a week before). Was 'greeted' at the front desk and told to go to the parts counter, but was told I would have to order t my 2008 Eos (just purchased a week before). Was 'greeted' at the front desk and told to go to the parts counter, but was told I would have to order the key, they do not carry them. Got to the parts counter. It had a 2-way mirror where I could see a person messing around on their phone on the other side...I stood there a few minutes then noticed a sign saying 'ring the bell for service'. I rang the bell, then waited (by this point there was now another person behind me). After about 10 minutes a woman came out and asked what I needed. A spare key! She informed me I needed my CT Registration and an ID, so I went back to the car. When I got back the second person in line was being waited on...no problem. Showed her the ID and Registration (which is in my wife's name - same address as registration). She said my wife needed to be there. I asked her to check with her manager. she went behind the counter and came back in about 10 seconds telling me I could not order a key unless my wife was present also...I pointed out that the address was the same and she could call my wife if needed. She said 'no, she has to be here, I am sorry, that is our policy' I was not happy at this point having driven 45 minutes and then waiting 15 more while the employee screwed around on her phone....but asked if she could make an exception since I drove all the way from Guilford to get the key and since they needed to order it anyway, my wife could pick it up when it came in and show her ID...'No, I am sorry, she needs to be her to order a key. That is store policy and I can not change it'. I will never go back to this dealer under any circumstances. I will gladly drive the extra distance to any dealer East of here. This place sucks! More
