Horrible service experience Went in for oil change, all went fine. Less than a week later, the check engine light came on. When my wife arrived, the first thing she was told was Went in for oil change, all went fine. Less than a week later, the check engine light came on. When my wife arrived, the first thing she was told was that it has nothing to do with the oil change and she would be charged $100+ just for the diagnostics test. It seems like a bold statement less than a week after an oil change to rule out the possibility that was the cause even before running diagnostics. Almost instantly, he came back to her and said the oil cap was loose, no charge, you're good to go. A week later, the check engine light came back on. Went back in. I told the service manager about the last visit and the first thing he said is a loose oil cap would not cause the check engine light to turn on. Basically admitting they didn't know what they were doing last time and didn't even run a diagnostics test. The verdict after the diagnostics this time: vapor recovery system. $500 repair. Well, at least it's fixed. However... A week or so later, the check engine light came back on. Going to a different place this time. More

When I went to Ewald's Hartford Ford on 10/25/13 for service on my 2010 Edge, I did not plan on going home in a new 2013 Edge. I was asked how I would rate the service performed on my car and their dea service on my 2010 Edge, I did not plan on going home in a new 2013 Edge. I was asked how I would rate the service performed on my car and their dealership's overall performance. During the conversation, I was told that my car was on a list of used vehicles that was in demand and what i would think about trading up to a 2013 Edge with equal or better accessories at the same payment that I currently had. I figured why not. I was introduced to Rich Hadden and was shown the 2013. I liked what I saw so we sat down to talk numbers. The sales team applied what I had just paid to have my car serviced as a down payment on the 2013 which put the new monthly payment very close to my current payment. When I talked to the finance officer he offered several options to get extended coverage on the car and still keep my monthly payments down. Rich did not try to pressure me into making a sale. He was up front in answering my questions and I was impressed with knowledge of the Edge. Rich and Gary (sales manager) new I wasn't feeling well and went out of their way to make me as comfortable as possible. I would not hesitate to come back to Ewald's when it is time to trade my wife's car in. Every salesman wants to make sales and won't always be on the up and up to make the sale. This isn't how Rich works. I was approached in a professional maner and treated with respect. More
