Thank you! I brought my car in for an oil change and tire rotation. As usual, the staff was friendly and efficient. When my name was called, I removed my ea I brought my car in for an oil change and tire rotation. As usual, the staff was friendly and efficient. When my name was called, I removed my earbuds and noticed that there was a very unruly customer preceding me making an outrageous disturbance as at least two employees stayed calm and tried to reason with her and de-escalate her. When I calmly asked her to lower her voice so I could hear the employee processing my transaction, she became even more irate and I was very tempted to engage with her as Ertle employees looked on nervously. I scolded her for being rude, told the woman who helped me I didn't mean to be confrontational but I felt sorry for the employees there, and left, wondering if I did the right thing. A few days later, I received a very nice thank-you letter from Ertle's giving me a free oil change and tire rotation, a very nice stainless steel Subaru water bottle and a Subaru yoga mat! I was blown away! While EVERYTHING is VERY much appreciated, the letter of thanks meant a LOT to me emotionally, because I took the whole thing to a philosophical level in my head that day - "Do I stand by and just mind my own business, or do I take a stand for what I believe is right?" The letter of thanks told me that I made the right decision and I appreciate all the time, though and generosity that went into that letter and my gift most sincerely! More
