I have purchased/leased 9 Nissans over the last 20 years and never been so disgusted & offended. I have had problems with this dealership in the past but was required to visit again since this is where our and never been so disgusted & offended. I have had problems with this dealership in the past but was required to visit again since this is where our 2019 Rogue was purchased. We notified Route 22 Nissan of a transmission problem prior to the 60,000 mile warranty expiring on our 2019 Rogue (59,452 miles). The service team claimed they were not able to replicate the problem (even though it was glaringly obvious to anybody with the most basic knowledge of automobiles). They sent me on my way and just told me to return if it got worse. After attending out of state funerals for 2 different family members, I returned a few weeks later with videos of the car shaking and being unable to accelerate. This time, they found the exact problem I originally described but claimed the car was now out of warranty (60,872 miles) and Nissan North America would only cover a portion of the $5000 cost to replace the transmission. I asked Service Manager, Jose “Taco” Landaverde for the Route 22 Nissan dealership to cover the remaining cost considering I begged them to fix it the 1st time, before the warranty expired. I even offered to accept the additional $1600 in “suggested repairs” from the multi-point inspection if the remaining cost of the transmission replacement was covered. Instead, my compromise was refused, then I was called an “xxxxxxx” and told to make sure I spelled his name correctly in my complaints & reviews. Since part of my job is dedicated to providing auto loans and purchasing advice/guidance to my customers, I feel I now have an ethical duty to inform every one of my customers that needs automobile financing about how poor Nissan vehicles have recently performed and specifically how dishonest and unprofessional the Route 22 Nissan team behaves and how poorly they treat their loyal customers. Thank you to Route 22 Nissan in Hillside for destroying 20 years of brand loyalty due to either their incompetence or intentional negligence by allowing the warranty to expire before the service team could “replicate the issue.” I strongly believe it was 100% intentional considering I received a call from their sales department before I even arrived at the service center, basically begging me to trade it in and purchase a new vehicle since the cost of a new transmission would likely be more than $5000. We’ll leave it up to the Better Business Bureau to decide but the one thing that is certain is I will NEVER purchase another Nissan from any dealership. More

Macarena Barreira was VERY UNPROFESSIONAL! !!! She lied on my claim intentionally. Out of 4 tires she wrote only 1 had wear and tear which was a LIE My car is a 2021 and all 4 tires would ha !!! I was initially approved for 2 tires and she quoted me 320.00 per tire for the other 2 tires. I denied it cause I know I need 3 tires. She then wrote to the Warranty Company my tires were damaged cause of an accident that had absolutely NOTHING to do with my tires AT ALL . I will NEVER come back to that dealership again. More
