Title of this review: seek out Caroline as your sales person. walked into Emerson in May, curious about what it would cost me to trade my 2013 Tacoma for a 2021 Tacoma. A half hour later, I was callin person. walked into Emerson in May, curious about what it would cost me to trade my 2013 Tacoma for a 2021 Tacoma. A half hour later, I was calling my wife to make sure she was ok with my buying a new truck. Part of the deal was that there is no inventory on site, and I would have to wait two months for my truck to arrive. I could live with that. They gave me a decent trade in, and the truck was reasonably priced. Best of all, I did not have to deal with the “whaddaya need me to do to put you in this baby” patter that is so blatantly corny and insincere. My salesperson was Caroline, who is friendly, competent, and low key. I told my wife about her, and she asked me to make sure that I mentioned that Caroline would never treat women like idiots, which is what my wife (an incredibly smart and capable woman) experiences whenever she enters a dealership. More
7 days ago my car first arrived at Emerson Toyota. I was assured I would be called with an update that very day or the day after. SEVEN days later and I still have received absolutely no contact from them a assured I would be called with an update that very day or the day after. SEVEN days later and I still have received absolutely no contact from them and absolutely no information about my car. I have reached out multiple times now and have been completely dismissed and told to call back in a few days. This is not a trustworthy establishment. I still have no information about my car or it’s well-being and have been forced to go this entire time without a vehicle, relying on friends and family for transportation. More

Poor Service After 20,000 miles on a brand new Tundra the service center told me that my tires would not pass inspection. The passenger side tires were both worn b After 20,000 miles on a brand new Tundra the service center told me that my tires would not pass inspection. The passenger side tires were both worn beyond specs. When I asked why, considering I had done all the rotation and balances at 5,000 intervals, they told me that the passenger side rear tire is where the power comes from. When they rotated my tires they did not cross them, and that I should know to specifically ask for that when getting them rotated and this was normal to have wear like this on one side. I have tried three times over the past three weeks to get in touch with the general manager, but have gotten no response. This is very disappointing, as I have been buying vehicles here for over 20 years, and I can no longer recommend them. More

So he told me to go $%^ me self and to get my #$% truck off his lot. Real nice general manger and ripping customer off. They even when and deleted my post on face book. I when to report to the BBB and their BBB certificate was yanked. That really tells you a lot about a place, when you cant even a basic BBB certificate. I got a real alignment somewhere else and it was off, SURPRISE, SURPRISE..I guess ill buy a 2020 from Berlin next year. Nick, I hope the owner finally fires you when you find out what your doing to his business. More
Crooked Deal Breakers I recently tried to purchase a new Tundra for my wife at Emerson Toyota and was treated as poorly as I ever have been at any car dealer. I stopped in and discussed my needs with my salesperson, Corey. Over the next few days we negotiated by phone. We finally agreed to a number, accessories and financing over the phone. I gave him all my information for financing and my credit card for a deposit. He called back several minutes later and informed me that he was sorry but he could not honor the deal as we discussed. He said he was incorrect in saying I could get the rebate we agreed to with the 0% financing we agreed to. I told him changing the deal at this point was not acceptable. Corey was polite and apologetic but we did not come to a new agreement. I called back a couple days later but Corey was not available. I was directed to Nick. Nick did not have of the paper work so he was going to talk to Corey first. I explained the situation as best I understood and he assured me if Corey corroborated what I said that he would honor the deal. Corey eventually replied with a deal worse than the original. I declined. This was followed by an offer that was numerically and accessory wise the same as I had agreed to originally but without the 0% financing. I called to talk to Nick to remind him about our discussion about honoring our deal. He said he would not. I asked to speak to the General Manager and he replied that he was essentially the GM. I asked if I could talk to the regional manager. He replied "Go ahead but we are privately owned so there is nothing they can do for you." I called to talk to the owner, Jim twice. He was not in the dealership either time so I asked for his email address. I emailed him almost exactly what I have said here with my contact info. No response from Jim. I called the office for the regional manager for Toyota and they put me in touch with Toyota customer Service. This person was polite and told me they would contact George at Emerson's Customer service and he would get in touch with me in no less than 2 days. George must be busy with other customers because that didn't happen. More
