First off I must say, my experience at Duval Ford dealership was remarkably superior to a very negative experience we had at a "local" dealership. At the "other" local Ford dealership my boyfriend an dealership was remarkably superior to a very negative experience we had at a "local" dealership. At the "other" local Ford dealership my boyfriend and I waited 40 minutes outside in the afternoon heat parusing the parking lot without a salesman in site. Since we were not being served outside we decided to take our business inside. We were NOT greeted inside and while there were employees available, we were ignored for another 15 minutes. I finally had to ask the receptionist if anyone was working today. This left a very bad taste in our mouths therefore, we did not even try another dealership until July 29th. I am so glad we did because we left Duval Ford happier than we've been in a very long time. My exceptional service at Duval Ford began before I even walked through the door. I was greeted outside by a kind young gentlemen who offered to assist with our care and bring us into the cool A/C. We were then offered something to drink while we waited briefly for a salesman. By the time my boyfriend could drool over the Shelby KR, a kind and inviting salesman named Ken Vargas was at our service and ready to assist in our finding of a specific Mustang. Ken was very friendly and informative of the vehicle. Unlike some salesman, he was not pushy and made us feel at ease. He was able to multi-task while giving us his full attention and time. We clearly stated what we wanted and what we could afford. Ken and Tom actually listened to us and gave us a reasonable rate which the "other" Ford dealership was unable to do. Ken informed us of what the dealership was able to offer and we were very satisfied. We didn't have to beat around the bush or negotiate all night. We had already gone through that experience once before and did not want to spare the energy again. I truly appreciated Ken and Tom's understanding of our financial situation and working "with" us not against us. Then we met T.J who was also very friendly and helpful. He was very patient and answered all of our questions with detail. He tried his best to tailor our needs to what we could afford. In the end, we were able to workout an affordable deal. Ken patiently waited for us to sign all of our paperwork. I believe he stayed much later than expected but he was extremely gracious and genuinely excited for us. Not once did we feel neglected or pushed by him in any way. This was an extremely refreshing experience. We could not have had a better salesman. We are very active in the Mustang community and informed our Mustang Club friends of our positive experience at this dealership. I grabbed a few extra business cards and will gladly refer others to Ken Vargas and Duval Ford. Thanks again to Ken, Tom, and T.J for such a commendable job and making my boyfriend's dream come true. We will surely bring our future business to Duval Ford. More
Malcolm was actually the first one to respond to my mother and I request to look at a new car on the internet. We were late getting to the dealership to meet with Malcolm and Steve was the first to com mother and I request to look at a new car on the internet. We were late getting to the dealership to meet with Malcolm and Steve was the first to come out and greet us, although Steve is fairly new he has a friendly and welcoming personality. The following day we met up with Malcolm and Steve, Malcolm is AWESOME at his job and has a great attitude. Malcolm made sure to go over the cars with us, and made sure to ask any questions we had. We later on met with Billie for the financial part. Billie is very friendly and keeps a good attitude, regardless of the work load. (Because that day Billie was the only Finance person left on staff and 8 CARS were sold that day!!) I would recommend Duval Ford overall to anyone, the atmosphere and the people who work there are AWESOME. Keep up the good work guys!! More
I have been to many different dealerships over my lifetime and this experience was by far not only better but considering the temperature outside actually enjoyable. Malcolm and Billie were extremel lifetime and this experience was by far not only better but considering the temperature outside actually enjoyable. Malcolm and Billie were extremely helpful and informative and I think anyone looking to buy a vehicle would be impressed with their attitude towards the job and professionalism. Our credit was not the best so the interest rate they worked out for us was reasonable considering the circumstances. The finance department was very informative and broke things down in a way we could understand and that made us feel comfortable with the paperwork instead of confused and overwhelmed. The overall experience was a 10 out of 10. More
We had gone to a different ford dealership that was near by and we were waiting for about an hour. Then when we finally got to talk to someone they did not have their act together. We dealt with them for ab by and we were waiting for about an hour. Then when we finally got to talk to someone they did not have their act together. We dealt with them for about 3 hours to no avail. We called Duval ford and talked to Rick, he was very nice on the phone. He was then waiting for us and showed around and was very helpful. It truly felt that he got us the best deal possible and in a timely manor. He was fantastic. More
I started my experience with this dealership by placing an internet request. Malcom immediately contacted me back. My daughter and myself purchased 2-2010 Ford Focus from Malcom. When I finally arrived at an internet request. Malcom immediately contacted me back. My daughter and myself purchased 2-2010 Ford Focus from Malcom. When I finally arrived at the lot on Saturday night, Malcom had just left. A brand new saleman, Steve Williams, saw us walking around the lot and approach us to see if he could assist us. I told him that I had already talked with Malcom and he informed me that Malcom had just left for the night. He proceeded to let me know that he could assist me and let Malcome know I was there. I came back to the lot the next day and Malcom and Steve assisted us in obtaining our new cars.. It was Sunday, and very busy. WOW!!!! Is the best way to describe the "ENTIRE" customer service experience. They made us feel like a part of the Duval Ford Family. Billie Brown, the Finance Manager was very informative and made sure that my daughter and myself understood every step of the financing process. I will share Duval Ford with everyone I know and meet!!! A special thanks to Malcom, Steve, and Billie for their "Exceptional" customer service and for truely caring about the customer. The dealership wasn't rated higher for just a couple of reasons. Ken, my salesman, did not seem as interested in helping me at one point in the sales process. I had scheduled an appt to come talk to him reasons. Ken, my salesman, did not seem as interested in helping me at one point in the sales process. I had scheduled an appt to come talk to him and look at a new F-150. When I was running late, I called him to see if it would be ok to come on by to meet with him and look at the vehicle. He said, "Sure, come on by." I was frustrated when I got there, as he was with TWO other clients. He asked me to go out and look at the trucks by myself, and write down the stock number of any of the trucks I liked, to be able to take a test drive. I was surprised by this as it was really hot and rainy outside, and this doesn't seem like a good sales practice as there would be no one to answer my questions. It also told me I wasn't his top priority. I have two main issues with this: 1) If it wasn't a good time for me to stop by, then tell me. My time is as valuable as anyones. 2) Get someone who isn't so busy to help me. I understand things don't always work as planned, but at least get someone else to help me in the mean time. When I got outside, and realized there was no one to help me or answer my questions, I went back inside to see if I could find Ken. I could not, so I left. This was mid-morning... He called me that evening to apologize. I will say things improved considerably after that negative experience. I will also say also that James and Antonio on the finance/sales desk were AWESOME! They are very friendly, and the main reasons I continued with my purchase at Duval Ford. James honestly saved the deal. Also, the finance guy, TJ ( I believe that's his name ), was not the easiest to deal with. He talked down to me, which I don't like. More
