I can't believe the great comments that others have to offer regarding service. I have been going their for service for 3 years and every problem necessitates 2 trips for resolution. Whatever they "fix" i offer regarding service. I have been going their for service for 3 years and every problem necessitates 2 trips for resolution. Whatever they "fix" is never really fixed and I have to go back again. Some of the guys on the service line do not seem familiar with the cars and always have to call the mechanics to get an answere to questions. Additionally, the waiting room is uncomfortable. They tried to spiff it up with an oriental carpet and nice coffee machine, but there are no tables to "work" at, and the electrical outlets are ackward to access. If I had another option I would never go to Beyer Volvo for service. More
I located this dealer on line while looking for an Kia Forte Hatchback. Mike was very quick to respond. After 3 or 4 emails we came to terms on a price. The next day we met with Omar who delivered the c Forte Hatchback. Mike was very quick to respond. After 3 or 4 emails we came to terms on a price. The next day we met with Omar who delivered the car. Everything went smoothly even the finanace department. We were then introduced to several mamngers and shown the service department. We were delighted to hear that a loaner car would be given for all services. One of the best car buying experiences. Thank you! More
We were not able to purchase our car from this dealership because they did not have the exact car we wanted, but Mr. Pinto was an amazing sales person!!! He is so honest and straightforward and informative! because they did not have the exact car we wanted, but Mr. Pinto was an amazing sales person!!! He is so honest and straightforward and informative!! I would recommend him most highly to anyone who is interested in purchasing a KIA. If every car sales man was like Omar, the world of car buying would be a much more honest, straightforward place. He presents excellent, out the door, detailed, price quotes, not in the second or third quote, but in the first quote. You don't have to haggle and wonder if you are being taken advantage of, and he does not pressure you with silly lines like, "today is actually a great day to buy this car." He is an honest, nice, intelligent, helpful man, who is incredibly knowledgeable about his product. I recommend him most highly!! More
Last week we purchased a Volvo XC70 through Don Beyer Volvo in Falls Church and could not have imagined a better experience. We tested and evaluated a number of other cars and are completely satisfied wi Volvo in Falls Church and could not have imagined a better experience. We tested and evaluated a number of other cars and are completely satisfied with our decision to buy through Don Beyer Volvo. Every individual we interacted with throughout the proceess was friendly and helpful, and we felt comfortable during every step of the process. We visited the dealership several times over the course of a week and the result is that I'm confident we ended up with the vehicle that best fit our needs and budget. As an example, my wife and I had settled on a configuration for the XC70, but after we decided to pursue the overseas delivery option (which I highly recommend checking out) the folks at Don Beyer walked us through each of the options we had chosen and pointed out that we were able to unbundle some of them because we were taking delivery at the factory in Sweden. As a result, we ended up *not* getting some things we really didn't need and paying less for the car. I don't know what this means for the dealership's bottom line, but I DO know they ended up with happier customers. I don't usually write these reviews, but I was so impressed by the entire staff at Don Beyer Volvo our experience there, I was compelled to share it with others. More
I got an email from Kia informing me that my Kia Sorrento was due its first maintenance service (bought it back in September). After some silly mistake about their operating days (it was during the Christma was due its first maintenance service (bought it back in September). After some silly mistake about their operating days (it was during the Christmas holiday--the receptionist offered me an appointment on a day they were closed), I was finally got the first available weekend appointment on Saturday, 1/7. I got there this morning at around 8:45am, and there had to be at least 10-12 people ahead of me. There was a line that queued up the steps, no chairs whatsoever. Worst of all, they only had ONE person working the entire Kia line, David. It took customers on the average 45-55 minutes to finally get served. Their reason for the excessive wait? 'We don't have a full staff on the weekends'! A nice gentleman named Terry helped me, however he couldn't answer most of my questions because, guess what.... he works on the Volvo side!! He was just helping David out. Anyway, wanting to get out of there, he did the necessary paperwork for the minor problems of my car, and whatever maintenance is needed for its 5K miles of use in less than 10 minutes. I was ready to go home and get my weekend chores started. I was assured a ride home by everyone I've communicated (the lady on the phone who booked my appointment, Terry, David, the website), but another 'guess what' moment--Cesar, their one and only driver, was not available until 10:30, another good 45 minutes of waiting!! I asked David and Terry if there's a way I could just be dropped off by anyone on the lot since I literally lived a mile and a half from there, they said 'no, only Cesar can drive people home'. So my dish--why schedule your staffing levels based on your needs rather than around your customers' needs? There was only ONE person servicing the Kia desk, a long line of disgruntled customers, only ONE person providing rides, and no flexibility as to who else can give rides! You know pretty well that customers who schedule on the weekends do not have time during the week, hence they value their time and appreciate the convenience of weekend hours. However, if made to wait two hours to drop off a car and to be driven home (I didn't wait--I walked home), than I'd rather take my business elsewhere. I'm going to Jiffy Lube next time. More

I purchased a Volvo V70 2.5T from these nice people back in April, 2011. First off, I drove from Williamsburg, VA to Falls Church, a 3 hour drive, to buy the car. Quite frankly, nobody else in the State of Virginia had the inventory these people have. I was looking for a Volvo wagon with VERY specific features. Lets just say that a beige interior, like about 80 percent of the Volvo wagons out there, would be a dealer killer. I got the black interior that I HAD to have, and got the car Certified Pre Owned to boot. A NON Volvo Cerified Pre Owned (CPO) vehicle was ALSO a deal killer for me, since the Volvo CPO program basically extends the Volvo factory warranty out to 7 years / 100,000 miles. Nimat, the salesman, was VERY easy to work with. He was even able to get me a set of rubber floor mats and a plastic pan for the cargo area. Both of these items were VERY important to me because I haul Newfoundland dogs with my wagon. The price on the vehicle was thousands less than a COMPARABLY equipped 2007 Volvo at other dealers. The worst part of the experience was the 3 hour drive to the dealership! More
I purchased a XC60 at this dealership in 2010. It was a 2011 model year. I seem to have some kind of computer problem with the car. The short story is the car will not start sometimes. I took the car in on 12/07/2011 and was told on 12/13/2011 that the part would not be in until 12/21/2011. In my book this is unacceptable. More
I bought a used Volvo XC 70 from my favorite Subaru dealer (because there are really no such thing as used Subarus!). I had it serviced at Don Beyer. The service was timely, excellent, friendly, and dealer (because there are really no such thing as used Subarus!). I had it serviced at Don Beyer. The service was timely, excellent, friendly, and fair - every time I ever took it in. An example of the fairness aspect is when the "check Engine" light came on, the tech used his portable meter to check and re-set it - no charge! He just said that if it came back on, come back in. That's not how it plays at other dealers and repair shops. Don Beyer even set me up with loaner cars during services when my used volvo - not even bought there was in their shop. When it was time for a new car, the strength of their service department led me to buy a volvo from the dealership side. More
