We were leased an MDX, and wished to turn in our RDX after purchasing our previous lease. A 2011 RDX that had a mere 22,000 miles, 4 brand new tires less than 2 months old, and a brand new battery less than 2weeks old. The car was spotless inside and out, with only a tiny "door ding" on the right rear. We had a Car Max offer to buy for $20,000. Delray Acura said they would match, less 6%. When we said that we would sell to Car Max would have to come back later in the week to get the MDX because it was a bank holiday, Bill was OK with it. He understood that $1200 is a lot of money to throw away to most people. His sales manager who was trying to push us to complete the deal that day walked out of the room and threw up his hand and exclaimed "UNBELIEVABLE!" I didn't catch the man's name, but his behavior upset us to the point of almost not completing the deal. We respected Bill enough to finish the deal and keep our mouths shut for his sake, but we certainly felt disrespected by the sales manager. Completing the deal with Car Max was a very pleasant experience, and only took less time than driving back to pick up our MDX 2 days later. Since neither my husband nor I earn $1200 per hour, the extra time it took to sell the RDX to Car Max made sense. The sales manager should have either fully honored our CarMax offer or respected our choice to save $1200. He gets a zero rating from us! Bill Mitchell gets a 5. More
