I Wish I Didn't Have To Write This Review -- Thing is, six months ago I wrote a stellar review for Dean Team because I thought they offered me a good price, friendly service, and an easy transaction. is, six months ago I wrote a stellar review for Dean Team because I thought they offered me a good price, friendly service, and an easy transaction. Now I know differently and although I could write in length about all their mistakes and the lack of service thereafter... I have wasted too many hours already trying to fix Dean Teams long list of errors. Don't get me wrong, mistakes happen to the best of them... but it is HOW they are handled that define the person/business. The Dean Team failed miserably in this area!! First, my title paperwork was done incorrectly (without lien holder listed), a mistake which I caught, not them. Then, Dean Team did not send my tax documents to me on time to pay my Illinois sales tax -- so there was an additional fee for that. Then, my title was done wrong yet again,... this time the title was registered to an entire different vehicle, not the one I purchased. They caught this mistake in early Sept. 2013 but I just received a call from my bank informing me that they never fixed the title. This means my bank still does not have a valid title, my registration through the State of Illinois is not valid, and my auto Insurance is covering a vehicle I don't own. My best advice to you is to buy from a different dealership!!! More
Could not be happier with our used car purchase with these guys. We were buying a car for our son and had thought a used Honda Accord (our preference for reliability/safety) was out of our price range these guys. We found one at a price/miles nearly where we wanted to be on the internet at Dean Team – went to check it out. We also were trading in our “well traveled” 2000 Lexus. The Honda was very clean for a 2007, low mileage to boot. Drove great. Our sales guy – Wes Gallegos – was very pleasant to work with and the dreaded negotiation was handled very easily and fairly… had a deal in about 10 minutes giving us a fair price on the car and our trade-in. We were hoping to keep the car parked at the lot until our son’s birthday to hold the surprise, and Wes made that happen – no problem. Financing was done quickly and at a great rate. What really set Wes apart was that – after we signed on the dotted line and walking out, we noticed a dent very apparent when the light shined on it the right way putting a huge pit in our stomachs that we let that slip by. I mentioned to Wes the next day that we were going to take the car to a dent place and try to get it fixed before the big birthday unveiling – bad on us that we didn’t notice it during our test drive. Wes stopped me immediately and said he’d take care of it – and he did just that. Way way beyond the call of duty – dent was repaired and could not be detected – and in less than 24 hours. Huge contrast to our experience at the Bommarito VW dealer up north a week earlier where they sold a Jetta out from under us during the 3 hour period it took to return home and get the trade-in for their appraisal. That event was a slap in the face - an example of having zero consideration for the customer which was shocking to us given today’s economy. A week later, these guys at Dean Team – Wes and Tom – gave us the exact opposite customer experience, showing us exactly how customers want to be treated. And then some. Our son was hugely excited receiving it on his birthday – calling it the perfect car and present. Easily a 5 Star Rating. Would give it 6 if I could. Wes deserves some Blues tickets. More

My wife and I bought a new beetle this passed weekend from the Dean Team, and everything was great from start to finish. Jim Happe was our salesman, and he was very friendly and helped us through the ent from the Dean Team, and everything was great from start to finish. We were especially impressed that he helped show us around the car, and continued to demonstrate the features AFTER the deal was done and the papers were signed. He didn't wave and walk away, he stayed with us until we were familiar with car, and let us know we can always contact him if we have any questions.
