I picked up my new Subaru Forester just over a week ago. This has been my first ever new car. I worked with Tony W. Tony was great to work with, very knowledgeable about Subaru's, and not pushy. I would have given them a good review, until I found out they lied to us. I was pre-approved for a loan through my own bank. I explained this to the salesman, of course. At one point in the process of sign they lied to us. I was pre-approved for a loan through my own bank. I explained this to the salesman, of course. At one point in the process of signing papers and filling out forms, the salesman presented me with a credit application. I told him I didn't need financing through them, and he told me it was required by law. He said they need the credit check to ensure you are who you say you are. Whether or not that is true, I certainly did not approve them to solicit several creditors trying to "shop-around" for a "better" deal. I specifically went through my own bank, getting pre-approved, to avoid this very thing. My wife and I's credit is fair to good and we don't need anything, not even a little thing, affecting our credit scores. The problem is not that there were several credit inquiries, but that these were declined. Our bank approved the loan, but some of the people they tried denied it. When contacted, The Dean Team of Ballwin told my wife that they did do that, hoping to get us a better rate. The idea was we wouldn't care that they lied because they were trying to save us money. A lie is a lie and due to them lying to me I will NEVER buy a car here again, and I WAS going to return. I LOVE my Subaru! More
