Buying a new car on Black Friday Today my husband and I went to the Dean Team to test drive the 2019 Jetta. Our consultant Ryan promptly pulled up a car and we all three took off. Ryan did not pressure us in any way but did explain some of the features of the car. It was such a good drive! And we were very impressed with the openness and legroom as well as the trunk space! The Jetta has a lot of power and yet great gas mileage. When all was said and done we drove off in it. Both Ryan and Carl were very knowledgable about not only their product but also the competition. I have never enjoyed buying a car but today was the best experience. I would recommend them and this car. More

I did not give them 5 stars because of communication challenges As a first time car buyer, I would recommend them despite the 3 out of 5 star rating. I did not give them 5 stars because of communication challenges and confusing relations with their team. First, the communication was smooth and comfortable at times, especially with Pete Ostlund, but tiring at other times because of the long-winded nature of Tony Wright. He's very knowledgeable, but it came off like he was deliberately trying to confuse me with lengthy explanations and hypothetical scenarios. Otherwise, both of them contacted me an appropriate amount via email and phone, which I was very happy with. Additionally, communication during the negotiation and sales process wasn't systematic or informative. Multiple aspects of the sale would not have been discussed unless I brought them up or asked questions. This lead to miscommunication between the sales and financial team members which caused issues during the financial closure of the sale of my vehicle. There was obvious tension and alpha-competition between the three employees during the whole process which was awkward as a bystander. Second, the relationship between the two sales people that helped me buy my vehicle shared the task of talking and meeting with me. This was fine most of the time, but it seemed to cause issues with paperwork later down the line. Lastly, if I could do it again, I would have only met with one sales person and stayed with them. I need time to think and process information, and Pete Ostlund was more of a fit for me. Tony was helpful but we didn't operate as well together. Also, I would have pressed them for more of a systematic approach to buying my car. It was a little sloppy and the feeling of following them through the maze of buying a car made me skeptical through pretty much the whole process. Overall, I think it boils down to who you work with and if that person listens to you or pushes you toward buying a car. They want your money and you want their car, but you both want respect and a decent experience. More
Jim Simpson and Pete Ostlund were both fantastic to work with. Jim was excellent in the walkthrough of the car when I took delivery of it and was easy to communicate with! Didn’t need to go elsewhere to shop as JD and Adam were trustworthy and worked on getting the price that was acceptable to me and bettering my pre-approved rate. Very helpful on the Subaru provided extended warranty and star link; with NONE of the common dealer-added sticker garbage. Very transparent pricing especially clear with Finance provided checklist with what my options were. Been buying cars for over 40 years and this was one of the most pleasant experiences. Only negative aspect: Manchester Road. More
