I called to schedule a NYS inspection and oil change for my Dad's car. While speaking to the service department I were told that the NYS inspection was complementary because the car was purchased there (th my Dad's car. While speaking to the service department I were told that the NYS inspection was complementary because the car was purchased there (that is the 2 stars) and we were told that the oil change was done a year ago and we still were covered with a service contract for that and there would be no charge(that is no stars). We brought the car in and were told that oops! The oil change would be $65 and that the contract for oil changes had expired in April 2021. My Dad wa 93-94 years old through the pandemic and was being careful with taking his vehicle anywhere and he probably used only 2 oil changes over 2 years, when he could have used 4 (every six months). This isn't the first time this dealership was Unreasonable and the dishonest telling me something on the phone that they did not then honor. The first time the took advantage of my Dad was when they took my 92 year old Dad out to lunch to convince him to sign to lease a vehicle, which he did sign. I (his daughter) had to go back in and say it was unethical to do that to an elderly veteran who would never lease a vehicle ever in his life, especially since they took his two year (no lien) vehicle in with this contract. Their adjustment to having my Dad pay off the lease, which was a higher price than if he had paid cash for the car, was to provide free oil changes for the vehicle. My Dad literally only used about 2 oil changes in two years (rather than 4) and now with this one appointment post-pandemic, they insisted on saying sorry, no more oil changes, we never told you that on the phone, and ripping him off with a $65 oil change (less a new found $20 courtesy). I don't know how this dealership sleeps at night! They lost a good customer !! More
