We are genuinely sorry for what has occurred! We perform on each Pre-Owned vehicle a thorough Safety Inspection. With it being a Pre-Owned every Consumer is presented with a "Buyers Guide" which clearly states "As Is" and list some of the major defects that may occur in used vehicles. This Form is presented to the Consumer at the time of signing all Paperwork and Contracts. The Consumer will read then sign and date it, acknowledging the content and agreeing to the vehicle "As Is". it is true that a 3rd Party After Market Warranty was presented as is with all Pre-Owned vehicles due to their nature being Used. There is always an element of uncertainty regarding possible mechanical issues arising due to the age of the vehicle, parts wearing out, the mileage and not knowing the maintenance of the vehicle from the prior Owner. We highly encourage it as a Safe Guard that an After Market Warranty be purchased should something occur down the road. The After Market Warranty that was purchased on 4/10/2020 and was Cancelled the next day as requested. Certainly if it is felt our price is higher and the same coverage can be purchased elsewhere we fully understand. Regardless, an After Market Warranty coverage was encouraged and could have been bought elsewhere. There would have been just a Deductible. We cannot be liable for a hole created by a Rod that went through the Long Block 6 months later after the Purchase and in the consumers possession. We are genuinely sorry!

But you can be liable for not disclosing after-market parts that were in the vehicle that may have led to he failure. The first question my local dealership asked me is “was this vehicle chip-tuned” based on what they saw. We are researching this thoroughly.
