POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE My husband and I were looking at a specific 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee that was pretty low in price but we couldn't make it out to take a look until a c My husband and I were looking at a specific 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee that was pretty low in price but we couldn't make it out to take a look until a couple days later. When I called I spoke with Dakotah and was given the information that if we waited until Wednesday of that week to come take it for a test drive the price would jump back up as the price listed online was part of a "Special" and if we wanted to lock in that price we would have to place a $500 deposit to secure the vehicle. If we came out and for some reason didn't like it and didn't want to buy it our money would be refunded. So we put $500 down. Before heading out to Dave Smith we found a Jeep we really liked at Barton Jeep in Spokane (as that is where we live) and so we gave Dakotah a call that we wouldn't be out and would like the money refunded. Everything seemed as though it was "OK" and she informed us that it would take "A little while" to see the refund which was not a big deal at the moment, we assumed "A little while" would mean "3-5 business days" so we waited. A week passed and no refund had gone through so we gave them a call and were told that the dealership policy was all refunds take "8-10 business days to go through" we were a little upset as we were getting close to needing the money for bills that were coming up around the end of the month and were not informed of the exact time that it would take to see the refund, but patiently waited as they made it clear there was nothing we could do but wait. Business day 10 rolls around and no money has been refunded into our account so we give them a call again and we end up a couple different times calling and leaving a message, or calling and speaking with Dakotah or her manager (who I would list but don't have his name) and being told we would receive a "call right back" or "no more than 20 minutes" after waiting and hour and a half we would call back and turns out, their policy is that refunds are not refundable but since we were told that they were they would honor their word, and that they "checked" and the refund has "gone through" but it will be another few days, here we are sitting on day 12 and no refund. Overall our experience with Dave Smith has opened my eyes to the true Trustworthiness of the dealership and we will most certainly be staying away from this dealership as we will be going back to Barton for any future Jeep, Dodge, or Chrysler purchases as JOE PROFIT was a wonderful sales person and they got us an amazing rate and a wonderful deal on our new Jeep. I can't speak for everyone working with Dave Smith but I will say that overall their customer service is exponentially under par and I would not recommend them to any friend or family member, or really anyone looking for a quality vehicle. More

After Alpine motors took us in to diagnosis the problem (and they are a Chevy dealer), they couldn't fix it so my dad had me call you guys. You got us in -early in fact, the guy who helped us came out and showed us where we could park our trailer while we waited. Every one was really nice, even replaced the battery in the key for us. Thanks so much for helping us out, we were dreading the drive back to Nevada with no air and 2 dogs. You were our lifesavers. Lisa Hess More

As for the car we have only had it for 6 months and we have had nothing but problems with it. We have had it worked on and worked on and it still don't run right at all. My husband took it to work for his hitch and he is pretty sure he is not going to make it back home with it. It sounds awful and sounds like it is going to blow up. We drove 12 hours to by a car from Dave Smith I wish I would have just stayed in my hometown to by a car. I do not recommend buying a car from them I know I never will again it kinda sucks you spend that much money on a car and all you get is screwed. More

Does not follow through. I walked in to dave smith looking for a specific truck. They didn't have what I wanted and said they would call me when they get one in. So I get the call while my mom is in from out of town and my wife and baby are with me. We all hop in the car and drive to kellogg, test drive the truck (that isn't yet ready) and decide we want it. I told the sales person, "we can't stay more than two hours". To which she replies "oh it won't take that long". So we start up the paper work, every time it went through different hands, they told us it would be five minutes, and ended up being 30-60. Every aspect; finance,sales,contract,finalization etc... TOOK FOREVER. We ended up being there over 5 hours. Since the truck wasn't ready they said they would have the truck ready for me in Coeur d'Alene on friday and that they would call me. 10am rolls around, no phone call. So I call them, "oh the liner didnt get put in, they haven't done the rock chip repairs etc..." "It will be ready by 4pm". After waiting around all day its now 6:38 pm and I just got off the phone with her. I will be picking my truck up around 7:20pm. These people are lacking on the integrity portion, at least my sales person anyways. On a positive note I never felt pressured. More
