All I got was a bunch of BS about how they couldn't produce a price but would be happy to have a sales manager call me back or email me. They deal in volume because they keep their sheep in a row, sheep meaning customers. If you are dumb enough to buy from them because you think you'll save money, god have mercy on your soul. More
Missed deadline, stolen deposit Called asking about a specific truck, was told it would be available in 4 days. Put down deposit as I was asked, made arrangements to have it shipped Called asking about a specific truck, was told it would be available in 4 days. Put down deposit as I was asked, made arrangements to have it shipped to Alaska with time to spare Every day for 2 weeks it would "be available tomorrow". No explanations, no one liked returning my calls. It came down to dialing random extensions to leave voicemails on any managers extension. On my last day of vacation I called a few other dealers to find the truck in stock and bought it there. Now as expected no one wants to return my calls as promise and they are refusing to refund my deposit. Worst experience I could have had. My advice is to call dave smith for a price quote and then call your local dealer and ask them to match. They'll be hungry for your business and much easier to deal with. More
Done with Dave Smith Motors! I was in the process of purchasing my second vehicle from Dave Smith and they had what I thought was a vehicle my wife would like and I felt pressured I was in the process of purchasing my second vehicle from Dave Smith and they had what I thought was a vehicle my wife would like and I felt pressured by the sales person. Well come to find out, there were a few futures that she wanted that were not on the vehicle that I put hold money on. I have emailed and tried calling my sales rep, but TJ never returns my calls. Before you give them your credit card number over the phone, be 100% sure it is the vehicle you want at the best price you can get. There are MANY dealerships out there that will refund your hold money if you find something else, Dave Smith should be one of them. I am afraid I am out my $$$$. It will be a cold day before I recommend Dave Smith or even shop there again! More
Tell you What You want hear I was looking to purchase new truck from Dave Smith Motors. The salesman was friendly enough but did not seem to want to help in the sales process. I was looking to purchase new truck from Dave Smith Motors. The salesman was friendly enough but did not seem to want to help in the sales process. It seemed he was interested in picking the vehicle and telling me what a great vehicle it was without actually finding out what I wanted and what I was using the vehicle for. On several occasions I told what I was looking for and my time line. His response was always we will make it work. Began the sales process and found poor communication between finance and sales. The paperwork sent had the wrong city and when I inquired about the delay and I was in a time crunch, I was told by finance they would look in to it and contact me the next day. No contact. Inquired with the salesperson and was told no big deal. They would resend paperwork and it would work out. After a couple days of this I rescinded the deal. Now I have heard nothing back after a week of repeated inquires on the deposit I gave them in good faith. Maybe Dave Smith Motors is to big to be helpful? Make sure you know exactly what you want and what rebates and options are available on the vehicle you want, they are more interested in the sale then helping you in the process. More

Honest, Fast. Not pushy. Friendly staff. Best prices. The sales people aren't pushy, arrogant or wanting to sell you something you don't want. They respect your choices and the whole process is smooth, fast and without surprises. It isn't wonder that, while one is there, you'll see people form all over the country and Canada. They are proud of selling the highest volume of trucks anywhere in America. The staff is friendly and satisfied in working there. They are an example of how dealerships should treat their customers. They have repeat customers and I would drive any my friends or family all the way there to buy a vehicle from them. Trevor Thomas was the best sales person I ever met, Austin Garrett was the easiest finance manager to talk to. That's the way car sales should be done, period. More
Too hard to get a price No price available on web. No price available by chatting online. No price available via email. Phone: 25 minutes and a ton of song and dance a No price available on web. No price available by chatting online. No price available via email. Phone: 25 minutes and a ton of song and dance and got a price for something I did not ask for. My question: I want base car with this feature and that feature. What is price? OMG these guys are terrible. Rather than focusing they give a song and dance about how great they are, how large they are, how much they are hassle free. Hassle free would be answering the question. More

Well the individual refused to transfer me to a live person to get a quote. He said "the policy does not allow me deal with another salesman and if I don't like it then I can buy somewhere else." He then hung up on me. I called back to talk with a manager, not an answering machine, and the female that a nswered was equally rude. She hung up on me also. At no time did I use any fowl language to deserve this sort of treatment. Since then I have left two messages and still have not received a call back concerning this issue. I am proud to say that I did purchase a truck that night and stopped two people from purchasing from dave smith. There lack of care goes to show what kind of company they are More
Disappointing experience - Slow response, wouldn't recommend I had heard of Dave Smith and that their prices were good. I decided to give them a try when I started looking for a new Jeep. I began communicating w I had heard of Dave Smith and that their prices were good. I decided to give them a try when I started looking for a new Jeep. I began communicating with a sales rep over the phone and he was initially very responsive and got back to me quickly. I was coming from out of state so I wanted to make sure everything was in order before I made the long drive over. As we discussed a particular vehicle they had in stock, he mentioned that they sell several hundred vehicles per month and suggested I put a small deposit down over the phone to hold this vehicle. That would prevent other sales staff from selling it. Sure, that made sense to me and I was happy to do it. That's when the communication started to break down. The minute I had placed a $500 deposit, I wasn't receiving callbacks as promised. I'd ask the sales person a question in the morning, was promised a call back that morning, didn't get one at all. So I called back that afternoon and he said he would "walk down and check right now, and call me back". Of course I didn't hear anything. I called him back that evening and he said he's either call me back that evening or first thing the next morning. Since I hadn't heard anything by the next afternoon, I called the sales person, who wasn't available, and left him a voice message to cancel the deposit on my card, and that I'd decided to do business somewhere else. I thought I would just chalk it up as a communication issue and be done with it. But now I feel like there's a bit more to it. The $500 deposit has yet to be returned to my card, and it's been 3 weeks. Now I feel like this might be a systematic approach to dealing with people. The minute they received a little bit of money, they didn't feel like they had to work all that hard for the sale. Then once they didn't didn't get the sale, they would just keep this deposit. It's something I can and will remedy through my credit card company, but beware of this. I wouldn't suggest giving any deposit over the phone. I trusted they were a solid business. I learned my lesson. More
Grateful First Time Buyer AMAZING! I loved working with Tammy and Steve in Kellogg. They were fabulous! I was really upset from recent encounters with other dealerships and I w AMAZING! I loved working with Tammy and Steve in Kellogg. They were fabulous! I was really upset from recent encounters with other dealerships and I was a first time car buyer who was being discouraged. They took into consideration what I do for a living and what I was comfortable paying, which I really appreciated. Dave Smith was so great at making me feel valuable and an able buyer! Thank you! I love my car and couldn't be happier with my purchase! More
