5 Stars All Around! About a year and a half ago, I went car shopping and dealt with the craziest people--until I went to darlings. Darlings truly knows how to treat thei About a year and a half ago, I went car shopping and dealt with the craziest people--until I went to darlings. Darlings truly knows how to treat their customers like guests. I personally work in the hospitality industry and am always so surprised by how awesome every experience I have with them truly is. Jake Knight was the salesman who sold me my car and made the process actually fun (who knew?!). When I go in and get an oil change and a tire rotation, they always wash my car and have it ready within a half hour. Last time I went in for an oil change, I directly dealt with Dave and he was great. I recently locked myself out of my car and Logan, who works in the service department, helped save the day by creating a new key and waiting a few minutes after they closed at 5 so I could pick it up and unlock my car. He not only solved my problem, but a half hour later, he called to make sure the key worked and followed through! Darlings is always going above and beyond to make their customers happy and blows me away every time. If everyone treated their customers like Darlings, the world would be a happier place. More
A Surprise Gift from Service Dept I had an unexpected service which required the dashboard to be taken off the car. I had previously put several hundred dollars in cash in the glove co I had an unexpected service which required the dashboard to be taken off the car. I had previously put several hundred dollars in cash in the glove compartment and didn't think about it when dropping off the car. When the dashboard was removed, the cash fell out of glove compartment. In addition, there was Christmas money in separate envelopes for my kids. Steve let me know about this and they put the cash all together in an envelope and returned it to me. I am so grateful for the honesty from the team members and have told this story around town! While I was planning to keep my other car for a few more years and was definitely not happy with the driver who hit me, the Honda staff helped me get through the experience with as little angst as possible. Kyle had me try several cars to compare features and help with my decision about whether to get another Civic or a larger CRV. The entire staff was helpful, friendly and courteous, and Kyle went out of his way to pick me up when I had to return the rental car. Amy made the financial paperwork as painless as possible, and Bob, as always, was friendly and helpful. We will definitely continue to be a Honda family! More

We wanted a car with a great safety rating, a low cost of ownership and good fuel economy for a fair price. Our online research put Honda CR-V and Accord on our short list of options. Of course, the next thing was going to the car dealers, which is not something that I look forward to doing. So we headed out and stopped at Darling's Honda Nissan Volvo in Bangor. As we entered, we were met by sales rep Bryan Lackee. Bryan did not approach us like a salesman at all. He was much more like a very well informed friend. His approach was personable, respectful and highly professional. He listened to our situation and helped us sort out possibilities. Once we narrowed our search, he took us on 4 or 5 test drives. The entire time, 3 hours or more, he was gentle, respectful and informative. There was not one ounce of pressure during our time with him. The rest of the people at Darling's were great, too. The finance guy Lee and the general manager Geoff. It's a place that clearly cares about it's customers. When you go car shopping in central Maine, definitely look up Bryan at Darling's because he will make the process as easy as possible and you'll get the very most car for your money without a bunch of hassle. More

But as I saw the costumer service and the approachability of the staff, I was instantly reassured that I had come to the right place for a nice reliable vehicle. I got a really good deal on my car and Darling's was able to match the price of a comparable car at a different dealership. To top that off, I was pleasantly surprised to receive a $1000 gift card along with it! Gary was the salesman who worked with me, and did an amazing job explaining things to me and negotiating a good price. More

He was very helpful and didnt try to pressure me at all. Ben doucette was the finance manager and he was very respectful and offered me some protective jobs for the car as well.as an extended warranty and a tire warranty. Everyone that i have spoken with over the phone there has been great. Lee lorigan was very helpful and patient. He answered my questions about the extended warranty and put my mind at ease. I was even mailed my cell phone pad that i left in my old car i traded in. Everyone is very professional.I will be recommending this dealership. More

His knowledge was impressive and when I was wavering with a decision he was there with answers. I brought my daughter and Granddaughter with me for their input and he was wonderful with them as well. After my daughter and Joe had haggled, joked and talked for awhile they realized that they knew some of the same people; it was like having a friend to help us after that. I have recommended Joe to a couple of people who have said they will be looking for a vehicle in the near future and I will keep recommending him. Thanks again Joe, I love my car! More

They told me when I dropped the car of that the problem with my door lock would be $86 just to look at it. I told them to just look at the other, major issue. They did not call me with an estimate all day, and when I went to pick up the vehicle, they told me it would be a couple of hundred dollars just to look at the issue, but they didn't think the car was unsafe. The car smelled like fuel when I picked it up, and a week later still does. I took the car to Konitios, and they fixed both of the issues I had with the car for less than the dealership would even look at them. I have bought several Hondas here, and you would think they would want you to be satisfied with your vehicle. I have always bought Hondas or Accuras but am considering a different brand for my next purchase, or at least a different dealership. More
