My indicator light for tire pressure was on even though it was a new vehicle ( only 1000 miles). I loved the capability of driving my Honda in the garage, being helped immediately. Ed Michaud was responsive and answered all my questions. Nitrogen replaced the air in my tires( without charge). Although the tire pressure light did not reset itself after I had driven home I had to return and have it checked. I used to courtesy van to keep an appointment. That, too, was a positive experience - no waiting and a very nice gentleman driver who conversed with me. When I returned the light was off with an explanation of how to reset it it if it comes on again. In light of the 2014 model which I have it was a learning experience for them. I love the way I am treated by Darling's employees - they are professional, friendly, and competent. I am never made to feel there are no questions that are too silly to ask, nor do I ever feel stupid in spite of the fact that I do not know much about cars. They explain things patiently and clearly. My first car that I have purchased from Darling's in Bangor and I love dealing with everyone at the dealership. More
Darlings has a very gentle unpressured sales and management staff. They have good vehicles too. We have purchased from Darlings before and probably will in the future. This was a repeat visit for us to Darlings and we live in Cape Elizabeth. Three years ago, they were offering a fantastic lease deal on a 2011 Honda Civic, that no dealer in southern Maine was offering. So Cape Elizabeth. So my husband made the 2 hour trip to Bangor and brought home a new car. The lease was now coming due to expire, so I called them on Monday, October 7th and struck a deal with Joe Nye for a new lease: 2013 Civic EX. Another great deal!! I drove the 2011 Civic to Bangor on Wednesday, October 9th, and my white 2013 Civic EX was sitting there waiting for me. I enjoyed working with Matthew Jarrell and Kendall Seavey and everyone in the office was super friendly. They will definitely see us again in 3 years. Nancy in Cape Elizabeth. More

I want to acknowledge the friendly, knowledgeable, and professional manner in which Scott Larrabee worked with me throughout the purchase of my new Honda CRV. I felt listened to and was was made to feel comfortable no matter what my question was - and there were many! As a woman, I dreaded the process of dealing with car salesmen. Scott took his time with me, and was always clear and thorough in explaining the different features of the car. I am certain he will have a long and bright future as a salesman for Darling’s. Prior to the phone call from Joel Nye I had decided that I would purchase a Subaru Forrester. Whereas, I had nothing to lose and didn’t know much about the Honda CRV I decided to try one out. From the time I walked through the door at Darlings, I felt like comfortable. Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. A huge selling point in my decision to purchase a car, was the courteous and warm manner in which I was treated. Kudos to Scott, Joel, Geoff Johnson, and Matt Jarrell at Darlings! I entered Darling's Volvo dealership on Monday (16 September 2013 11:30 AM) with a vibration problem in my 2006 Volvo XC station wagon that was shaking the car apart. Jim Rhoades wrote up a repair order when I arrived and arranged for Ed Michaud to tke a test ride with me. The ride was during Ed's lunch hour and he did not complain. Ed said there was something seriously wrong and it was a matter of safety that the car had to be looked at immediately when we returned to the dealership. The car went into the shop and the mechanic determined that heavy mud was caked on the four wheels. After cleaning the wheels and rebalancing, Ed Michaud took the car out on another test ride and declared the problem had been solved. Ed's treatment of me was more than I expected. I was a customer of Gallo Volvo in Worcester, MA and had never needed to stop at the Darling's Volvo dealership in Bangor, ME. Jim Rhoades was very helpful giving me updates on the mechanic's progress as he was trying to solve the vibration problem. I am not related to either Ed or Jim, nor am I being paid to submit this experience. I can not praise these two men enough for their treatment of me when I was an unexpected customer with a serious problem. The entire service took place within a few hours and I was on my way home with the car running as smooth as silk. I had been car shopping for about four months before finally making a purchase. From the moment I pulled into the Darling's lot I felt comfortable and trusted Bryan. He was informative, precise, friendly, and helped me weigh out multiple options. I never felt pressured to settle for a vehicle and was always listened to. I was offered water, coffee, popcorn and anything accommodating. This place is more than just a car dealership. The sales representative was very friendly and helpful, following up with a phonecall the next day to ensure my satisfaction. His excellent sales skills solidified my decision to purchase a car from this company. He is an asset to this company. They were unable to give me the premium rate on the lease payment due to my credit rating but I believe they tried to the best of their ability. Overall, I am very satisfied with my experience at Darling's and will be continuing to do business with them. More
We were considering a Nissan Quest but needed to make sure I (6'7') was comfortable in it and that the storage and seating arrangements would meet our needs. Lee Lorigan did an outstanding job of (patiently!) taking us through all the alternative arrangements, allowing me to adjust both driver and passenger seats to the most comfortable positions and arranging a lengthy test drive to ensure the vehicle drove suitably. All this with a smile and excellent understanding of the workings of this complex vehicle. I am sure others are good, but I would make a point of asking for Lee when I return to Darlings More
This was my second time visiting Darling's for a vehicle purchase - it was a wonderful experience. The sales team, Bryan in particular, was so helpful and engaged. What I anticipated to be a stressful experience turned out to be as enjoyable as buying a car could be.
