We borrowed my fiances Dads Jeep Wrangler for the tri My fiance and I, and our 2 dogs, took a little vacation in Maine the week after Labor Day, 2014. We borrowed my fiances Dads Jeep Wrangler for the trip. On the way up we hit a bump at around 60 MPH and the Jeep was vibrating so bad I could hardly control it. Once I got to the side of the highway safely and made sure there was no flat tire or loose wheel, we ventured on. The Jeep is used sparingly due to her Dads age and arthritis, he has a hard time shifting it's manual 6 speed transmission, so we pushed the incident to it sitting during the warmer months and things are "freeing" up. We got to Maine safely on Sunday and started to check out the beautiful state. On Tuesday around 3p.m., we were on Route 1 and the same problem happened again 3 times, each worse than the other, in a 5 minute period. Not knowing where to go we searched Jeep dealers on our phones. Dad said to use a Jeep Dealer because it only has 21,000 miles and he has a warranty. We tried a couple of dealers, told them we have to leave by Friday morning and were afraid to drive it 500 miles back home and they couldn't get us in until the following week. Then we called Darlings and a gentleman named Ryan Kenyon, even though it was after 5p.m. told us to stop by and he will look at it quick and give us his opinion. When we got there he welcomed us, listened to what the Jeep was doing, got under the vehicle and then explained that he knew what was causing this "death wobble". He stated how he was a little short on technicians and was booked up and to call him Wednesday morning to see if he could squeeze us in. I called him that morning, he said to bring the Jeep in and to leave it so they can be thorough with it and be sure that it will be safe for the journey home. I got shuttled back to the hotel by another great gentleman named Kipp. Within 2 hours I got a call back from Ryan that the Jeep was done and Kipp was on his way to pick me up. I got the Jeep back and drove it around Maine for the rest of our vacation with no problems whatsoever. We loaded it up on Friday morning and came back to upstate New York. The Jeep drove fantastically, not a shimmy or shake at anytime. I want to thank Ryan for taking the time to care for my family and I having a safe trip home. Not many people nowadays seem to care about their fellow man. But that is not the case here. WE THANK YOU RYAN KENYON for really caring and being concerned about our safety. In the process you were friendly, considerate, and had a great sense of humor. And Thank You Kipp for the great conversation while you drove me back and forth. These two guys are great! I'm going to call them the Dynamic Duo. And yes we would recommend this dealership and the people who work there to anyone and everyone. Also I am recovering from a stroke and am using a cane. Mike make me a walking stick from wood off his property to use instead of my cane. When I showed up at the specified time, my problem was handled far better than I could have hoped. Ryan Kenyon (service mgr.) was polite, professional, and treated me as if I had bought the vehicle there. ( I was from out of state and on vacation). They had to order the part and it came in and was installed in very good order. Because of the excellent service I received there, I would not hesitate to buy a vehicle from Darling's if the need ever arose. More

Great People I had called on Saturday night and was able to talk with the guy that told me that he would have me schedule for Monday. I have never been to a mechanic that kept inform on what was going on and to call me to tell me that the delivery truck was delayed but will try his hardest to have my truck fix. I am very pleased with the help and the service that was given to me, especially the rental car. We will be back and probably buying another truck with them. Thank you More
Discouraged and disappointed First of all my appointment was not in the computer system in Ellsworth, I specifically requested the appointment in Ellsworth as I was coming from Ba First of all my appointment was not in the computer system in Ellsworth, I specifically requested the appointment in Ellsworth as I was coming from Bar Harbor. I received an e-mail from Darling's on June 20, 2014, confirming my appointment. My appointment was for an oil change and tire rotation. The service technician came out to the waiting room and asked me where he could find the lug nut key for the tire rotation job. My husband informed the service technician that there were two glove compartments and an access compartment in the rear of the vehicle under the rug to look in. Apparently, he never found the key as the tires were not rotated. Once I was informed that my car was ready by the service clerk at that point he informed me that they were unable to rotate my tires because they could not locate the lug nut key. My husband went out to my vehicle in the garage bay and found the key within moments of looking. Now I have to make another appointment to have my tires rotated. Not impressed. More
