That company made that process ridiculously hard, but Matt Jarrell, in Darling's finance department, took the ball and made it happen, despite their giving him the runaround. He's got a great, can-do attitude, and delivers results - which goes a long way these days. People like Matt lift the image of the whole company. Darlings: Make him manager! More

Excellent service in a scary situation I called for help as a Recall that had been previously had failed again. The switch on the drivers side door had melted. Causing smoke and sparks. My dream come true I was, for the first time in my 63 years, going to buy a brand new, 'out of a showroom' vehicle. I was apprehensive, due to NO ONE anywhere offering I was, for the first time in my 63 years, going to buy a brand new, 'out of a showroom' vehicle. I was apprehensive, due to NO ONE anywhere offering an SUV with a standard transmission. I had loved my used 1988 Laredo (automatic) but had really wanted the standard tranny. I left home with not much expectation. It felt more like I was going to be settling. I test drove a Chevy 2015 SUV at Darling Chevrolet, but wasn't thrilled, so Matt, my salesman there, made a phone call, I was instructed to go to Darling's Auto Mall. My sales person at the Mall, Scott, knowing I was intent on owning 'something' 2015 and showing me several, mentioned I 'might' be interested in a used 2012 Jeep Patriot they had on the lot. I peeked in the window, lo and behold, it came with a 'standard' - I test drove it and immediately fell in love. I couldn't believe that my dream of a Jeep (not Wrangler) and the manual tranny was sitting there right in front of me. I wound up spending less than the amount I had planned on using for a down payment on a 2015, so no financing was necessary. Jared, the financial officer, worked everything out for and with me and I was able to drive my 'dream' home that same day!!! From New York. My fiance and I, and our 2 dogs, took a little vacation in Maine the week after Labor Day, 2014. We borrowed my fiances Dads Jeep Wrangler for the tri My fiance and I, and our 2 dogs, took a little vacation in Maine the week after Labor Day, 2014. We borrowed my fiances Dads Jeep Wrangler for the trip. On the way up we hit a bump at around 60 MPH and the Jeep was vibrating so bad I could hardly control it. Once I got to the side of the highway safely and made sure there was no flat tire or loose wheel, we ventured on. The Jeep is used sparingly due to her Dads age and arthritis, he has a hard time shifting it's manual 6 speed transmission, so we pushed the incident to it sitting during the warmer months and things are "freeing" up. We got to Maine safely on Sunday and started to check out the beautiful state. On Tuesday around 3p.m., we were on Route 1 and the same problem happened again 3 times, each worse than the other, in a 5 minute period. Not knowing where to go we searched Jeep dealers on our phones. Dad said to use a Jeep Dealer because it only has 21,000 miles and he has a warranty. We tried a couple of dealers, told them we have to leave by Friday morning and were afraid to drive it 500 miles back home and they couldn't get us in until the following week. Then we called Darlings and a gentleman named Ryan Kenyon, even though it was after 5p.m. told us to stop by and he will look at it quick and give us his opinion. When we got there he welcomed us, listened to what the Jeep was doing, got under the vehicle and then explained that he knew what was causing this "death wobble". He stated how he was a little short on technicians and was booked up and to call him Wednesday morning to see if he could squeeze us in. I called him that morning, he said to bring the Jeep in and to leave it so they can be thorough with it and be sure that it will be safe for the journey home. I got shuttled back to the hotel by another great gentleman named Kipp. Within 2 hours I got a call back from Ryan that the Jeep was done and Kipp was on his way to pick me up. I got the Jeep back and drove it around Maine for the rest of our vacation with no problems whatsoever. We loaded it up on Friday morning and came back to upstate New York. The Jeep drove fantastically, not a shimmy or shake at anytime. I want to thank Ryan for taking the time to care for my family and I having a safe trip home. Not many people nowadays seem to care about their fellow man. But that is not the case here. WE THANK YOU RYAN KENYON for really caring and being concerned about our safety. In the process you were friendly, considerate, and had a great sense of humor. And Thank You Kipp for the great conversation while you drove me back and forth.
