As an owner of a brand new Hyundai EV (Ioniq 5), I went to Hyundai of Danbury to charge my EV, to get at least 15-20 minutes worth of charge before continuing my trip. As I pulled up to the dealer, I saw to Hyundai of Danbury to charge my EV, to get at least 15-20 minutes worth of charge before continuing my trip. As I pulled up to the dealer, I saw two Plug-In Hybrids charging out front. I went inside, said good morning, only Joe replied. I asked if I can charge my new Hyundai out front for about 20 minutes. Carlos immediately replied, "yes, but that's for customers only". And what am I, I asked. I bought a new Ioniq5, doesn't that make me the customer. Carlos got up from his chair supposedly to look for keys to move the cars out front. After 20 minutes of walking in and out of the dealer, he tells me he can't find the keys for those cars, therefore I'd have to wait for the customers to come to pick up their cars, then I can use the chargers. 25 minutes passed them giving me the running around, I could've been gone if they had let me plug the car in when I asked them to. He repeated his best sentence "the chargers are for the customers" in my head I'm thinking what an xxxxx. I just bought a brand new Hyundai not even three weeks old and now I'm not a customer anymore. They only care about getting you to buy/sign and that's it. I don't recommend this Danbury Hyundai dealer to anyone, don't be fooled, they don't care about you, they only care about your money. To be clear, I was not being disrespectful or disturbing in any way, nor was Carlos. RS. More
