My experience at Danbury Hyundai was excellent. Everyone was extremely friendly, helpful and professional. I am somewhat of a quick decision maker--once I know what I want, I want it right away. I searched all of the Hyundai dealers in CT and could not find a dealership with a wider selection of cars than Danbury I want, I want it right away. I searched all of the Hyundai dealers in CT and could not find a dealership with a wider selection of cars than Danbury Hyundai. As soon as I got on the lot, there were plenty of people available to help me. I wasn't ready for help right away, but it was good to know I wouldn't have to go searching for someone. Following up on an internet search, I was pretty sure I knew which car I wanted. I looked around the lot (or what I THOUGHT was the whole lot) and didn't see what I had seen online. It was no big deal because there were still several choices. When I went inside I saw a car I kind of liked, but it wasn't the exact color. That's when Tom Smith asked if I needed any help, and I asked him if he had any other colors available for the car. He took me to the lot behind the building which had a VERY wide selection of many different colors and models. I was immediately drawn to one car because the color was exactly what I wanted. To top it off, it turned out that the car had every feature possible AND the price was excellent. I couldn't believe how much car I would be getting for the money. Tom was great because he put absolutely no pressure on me to move forward at any point--I always felt like the decision-making was completely driven by me. I test drove the car minutes after seeing it, during which Tom talked a bit of financing with me and told me about some of the car's features. A lot of times you get sales people who will give you vague statements about how wonderful a car is, but I could tell Tom was genuine because he got right into the specific details of the major benefits the car had to offer. Did I mention that when I want something, I want it fast? I couldn't be more pleased with the speed in which this transaction was handled. I put my down payment on the car after the test drive and was able to pick it up the next day! All of the financing, registration, etc. was handled smoothly by Tom and the others at Danbury Hyundai with minimal effort from me. I've had car buying experiences where the dealer sends you home with a stack of paperwork and has you jumping through hoops to get things done and was relieved to see that there was none of that here. I arrived the next day to pick up the car. I was half an hour late because of severe traffic but no one seemed to mind and I was greeted promptly when I arrived. I signed all the necessary paperwork and them Tom went through all of the manuals with me as well as the warranties and services. Then we went out to the car and he walked me through how to use everything and even helped me sync my phone to the car's bluetooth system before I left. Thanks to the extra time he took, I felt like I knew what I was doing with pretty much every feature of the car as soon as I hit the road. This is my first Hyundai vehicle, but I'm very impressed by how much the company seems to have invested in the quality of their recent car models. If this car holds up like I think it will, I will definitely be back to this dealership to purchase another car. Thanks! More
Jeff, my salesperson, was extremely knowledgable and friendly in a believable way. I honestly feel that if I call Jeff with a question, he will be there or will call me back asap nd not give me the run-around, as what happends in many sales of all sorts. He also offerred a personal story about his own family Hyundai. Jeff also has incredible energy and I believe he works hard. While visiting many car dealers in the area, I met a lot of car salespeople. I feel an enthusiastic attitude is an important attribute in the car business. If I am going to spend my money in YOUR dealership, please behave appreciatively. I found that some other dealerships acted as if I were to go elsewhere and look for a new car, it wouldn't matter to them. That is the wrong attitude. Jeff acted like this purchase was important for me and to him. That made me feel as if he wanted me to spend my money in the right place; Hyundai. Jeff truly believes in Hyundai and its ability to perform, its style, looks, and competitiveness. He is an asset to Hyundia Corporation. I would be remiss if I didn't mention Dave Osborne's help in my purchase. He was also invaluable when I had some questions and Jeff had to scurry outside to aid in another potential customer. I phoned Danbury Auto Group -- hereafter referred to as DAG -- after an infuriating experience at Milford Hyundai, nearer to my Trumbull home. I was therefore primed for a fight, but first, Dave Martinich, then Tom Smith, then finally and most surprisingly, Steve Kaczmarek provided me with the best dealer experience I could have ever hoped for. Dave made the initial arrangements, Tom provided me all the car and pricing specifics, and Steve truly 'wowed' me -- not only with his zany friendliness, but especially in that he went out of his way to first explain ANYTHING that appeared to be stressing me out -- in terms that I could grasp -- then by accommodating my particular finance and customer service / warranty needs. My first-hand experience with automobile dealership Finance Managers -- in having briefly worked for Harte Infiniti a few years back -- is such that I expected to get really hosed over. Instead, Steve pure and simply floored me. 'Quite a guy. In hindsight, I kick myself for not having made mention that I am a Costco member; it may have resulted in a little better final selling price. But I must admit that the treatment afforded me had me in somewhat a state of euphoria that inclined me to move along quickly. I should point out that Steve DID find me an even better finance deal than the very good deal to which Tom had initially committed. In the end, there's ALWAYS a little better deal out there somewhere; my positive experience with DAG offsets the little-bit higher price. Hey, I made it out the door after tax, title and registration at about 19G. Needless to elaborate that I drove home pleased and stress-free. I would be happy to take calls from prospective customers of DAG to detail to them my experience and hearty endorsement of DAG. More
