So often car dealers are scorned for being too pushy, or not being totally truthful. Well, the folks at Danbury Hyundai dispelled that image immediately! Frank Zimmerman greeted us warmly, we discussed what I wanted, he listened carefully and went to work. You had no standard transmission Accents in stock so he immediatly found out when the next arrivals would take place. In the meantime we took a drive in an automatic, just to see what it was like. I was fixed in my mind though, that I wanted standard, and wanted it in green! So we decided to wait. The green standard came in, we drove it and while I liked the standard, I decided that at my age, the green was too intense. I felt badly that I perhaps had wasted Frank's time but no...he was adamaent that that is his job. The bronze automatic that I had driven previously was still in my mind (love the color!). I mentioned to Frank that I wanted a car that I could maneuver in snow, that I felt that I have control over when needed. I had not explained this to him before. At that point, he told us about the option to either drive in 'vanilla' (that is my word) automatic, or to be able to shift myself. We went out again in the bronze car, he showed me exactly how it works and then had me drive it. I was sold!!!! Then while signing the papers, the Veloster came into view. George fell in love with it....but we again waffled around standard or automatic. Frank drove down to Stamford, got a standard...and we changed out mind, once again. We were already sold on the automatic...and again Frank was patient and understanding. Finally, the storm descended. We drove our Scion XB during the storm, I signed the papers with Steve (in the semi-darkness!), a dealer plate was installed and we drove home with our second car that same weekend! And it was the best 'test drive' of how the transmission works in truly terrible weather! One main reason that I was interested in Hyundai, in addition to the comparisons that I did to other cars in the same price range, and the fantastic warranty, is that my daughter bought a Tuscon 7 years ago. She loves her car, and loves Hyundai. I'm planning on driving our new cars for a long time, but when that time comes around to look again, you'll see us again! More

Took a while to finally fill out the paper work (someone cut in front of me). I thought personally it would be more appropriate to have most of paperwork filled prior to me getting there so I didn't have t cut in front of me). I went to Danbury Hyundai to buy my very first new car, and I couldn't be happier with the experience. Steve ran through all of the paperwork with me very slowly to ensure I understood what it was saying. and I couldn't be happier with the experience. Being that this was my first car purchase, it helped me to clearly understand all of my options and what all of the numbers worked out to be and why. Jeff was extremely helpful in helping me to understand all of the amazing features my car had to offer. He sat with me and explained how everything worked until I clearly understood it. He even helped me to link my Iphone to my car and demonstrated how I could use my hands-free calling system. The employees that I worked with were patient and extremely friendly, helping to make my car-buying experience more enjoyable. I would definitely recommend this dealership to friends and family in the future. I couldn't be happier with my 2012 Hyundai Elantra! More

Fact: - Was still waiting after nearly 8+ weeks, finally cancelled the deal 2). Receiving timely and accurate communications and updates regarding the delay. Fact: - Only when I made the effort to call or email to request updates 3). Fact or Fiction? You decide! Here is what I was told..having paid my deposit in August Fiction:- Should have your car within 2 weeks (spoken at the initial meeting) Fact: NOT Fiction:- We have 65 cars arriving over the next week, yours is one of them Fact: NOT Fiction:- Your car will be here on 10/13 +/- 2 days Fact: NOT Fact: - Did I say 10/13, you misunderstood. Fiction: I said 10/15 +/- 2 days Fact: I was told 10/13. Fact:- Your car is in, but it is not here..it is in Massachusetts(somewhere?) Fiction: First time this has ever happend Fact:(Why me)? Fact: No, Danbury Hyundai we will not flat bed your car down, it will be driven/transported by a paid professional as we have to swap cars. Lets see,..Um, a paid professional driver who may not care about my new cars (break in period) while he/she is speeding down the interstate at 65 - 80 mph, likey smoking their cigarette in my non-smoking car, arriving to the dealership with 100+ miles having driven from Massachusetts. Fact: I don't think so Fact: 'Saleman says; no the big deal the warranty starts when you pick it up. Sorry Danbury Hyundai...Time to cancel this deal...Give me my deposit back! Fact: - 4 days later, and I finally get a call stating I have to come to the dealership to get it, and by the way, (I swear)..the Coup de Grace of excuses as told to me by my salesman, the reason my car is delayed is that Hyundai had a recall on (my) model vehicle and performed the upgrade at the port of entry so it delayed its delivery Are you kidding me I ask? -No kidding, really Question: What about the one in Massachusetts? Fact: Doesnt really matter, I want my refund So, I get my refund, go home and search the Internet for the recall..I'm thinking, maybe I shouldn't have cancelled the deal? Fact: NOT, Why not you ask? Fact: No luck finding anything about any recall on my model vehicle. Fact: Appears to be just another bull@#$ story, and even if true, I had enough of the drama and I am glad I walked away..
