We had a great experience and Harry was attentive and extremely helpful. We had to bring the car back because they forgot the front license plate holder, and he took my car right away and had the servic extremely helpful. I called to make on appointment on Friday and I went into this dealership on Saturday, ready to begin the long and drawn out used car shopping experience. As a woman, I was prepared not be taken seriously or even dismissed and ignored as I had been at the terrible terrible horrible Colonial Subaru dealership right up the road. Instead, I was greeted warmly and with a smile. The salesman that I had spoke to on the phone, Harry, had the car we discussed ready for the test drive. I drove it and loved it. Harry also patiently and kindly took time to show me other cars that interested me. In the end, I went with my first choice- the Nissan Murano. Harry drew up the paper work and walked me to Carlos in financing. At the end of the day, I walked out with a car that I love at a price I can afford. Not only were they very nice at the dealership, they helped keep my 8 year old entertained with hot chocolate and smiles. Harry is the go-to guy to get a car. There wasn't a lot or room to quibble on the price, but I feel like I had a terrific experience. I shall return for service on my car as well as recommend this dealership and this salesman to others. Very disappointed with sales ethics here. My wife and I made a firm deal for a used Sana Fe. However, when we got to the paper work after spending several hours with their salesman, we were presented with made a firm deal for a used Sana Fe. However, when we got to the paper work after spending several hours with their salesman, we were presented with additional "standard fees" amounting to $700 which were not subject to negotiation or waiver So we had to leave disappointed without the car. The fees would have brought the price of the car well above their initial published asking price! So, the moral is buyer beware. Don't waste the better part of your day as we did. Negotiate a price with that $700 in mind because they will make that demand after you've negotiated a sales price. Better yet, find a more ethical dealer from the start. More
My experience at Danbury Hyundai was the best car-buying experience I have ever had in my 42 years as a licensed driver! I have never had such an experience before where, from beginning to end, my needs were treated as a problem with a solution right around the corner rather than a problem that couldn’t be solved. Having had some serious drops in my credit score during this most recent recession, I was worried if anyone could help me. My 10 year old car had just broken down on I-84 and I was really in a jam. A competing dealer down the street, whom I had done business with in the past, just looked at my situation and said “Gee, we have a problem here, I don’t know…” even though my prior history was excellent and I had a solid debt repayment history. They seemed to be negative thinkers and didn’t give me much hope. However, at Danbury Hyundai, when I explained my situation, they looked at it as a solvable problem and never even used the words “we aren’t sure we can help you”. That didn’t seem to even enter into the equation. During the time that I was without a vehicle, they made sure I had a loaner to get around in and were extremely kind and courteous. A few days later, Tom Smith, the phenomenal sales rep I was working with, called up and said “You’re all set! You’ve got the car!” They made sure that based on my income and budget, I was in the right car for me. And indeed I am!! I’m driving a very peppy 2013 Hyundai Accent with great handling and gas mileage and it’s perfect for me. This organization is first-class from top to bottom. Everyone I encountered there was helpful, upbeat and professional at all times. They seem to look at obstacles and problems as just challenges waiting to be solved. I highly recommend them!! More

I first called and Spoke with Dave Petruzziello and told him what I wanted and what my trade was. He called me back with great numbers on both. So I went down there on a Monday night and Dave was not in tha him what I wanted and what my trade was. He called me back with great numbers on both. So I went down there on a Monday night and Dave was not in that day (grrrrrrrr) so another saleman came over to me (Frank Zimmerman) and told me that Dave was not in that day and was there something he could help me with. So I told Frank that I was here to buy a car from someone. Frank said he would help me and he found the exact car I was looking for. I told him that I already agreed with Dave on a price over the phone which Frank honored. There was one item that was not in the car and Frank said he would throw it in for me no charge. I then dealt with Steve the fianance manager and got the ball rolling, well 2 1/2 hours later I drove home with my new car. I was very happy with the both of them as I got what I wanted and they played no games with me. The only problem I had was that I wish Dave had called me that day to tell me that he was not going to be there as I drove from West Hartford to Danbury and I was not leaving without a car! Other than that I think the dealership is excellent and would definetly recommend them to my family and friends! Thanks again Frank and Steve for making it happen! More
