I came to Darcars Ford after seeing the C-Max at the DC Auto Show. They called me right away with the car I had requested. They took the time to listen to my needs. I was already driving a hybrid, so I really wanted to get a car with the same great gas mileage. The team here was fantastic! Ms. Betts was professional and extremely knowledgeable about the car. This was very impressive because the product I wanted was so new. She was patient with our questions. She allowed us the space to take the car through it's paces on the road. She even let me drive my route to work to really get the feel of the car on the road. I was almost sold, when I saw the color I HAD to have and it was not the color I had originally requested and they had found. Ms. Betts immediately found the car I wanted (features and color). She arranged to have it driven from another state for me to pick up at the Darcars Ford dealership. The new car arrived in only days and was ready for me when I arrived at the dealership. My husband usually hates car shopping. He really enjoyed the experience we had here. As a matter-of-fact, we are back again so he can test drive the Fusion Titanium Hybrid. DARCARS Ford makes you feel like family and I am grateful to Samuella for working with us. I LOVE my C-Max Hybrid. Samuels Betts is a tremendous asset to this team. We will recommend friends to come here and work with her. More
I was in the market for a new vehicle, and a Ford was at the top of my list. I went to the Ford website and configured a vehicle to my liking, and then asked the website where that vehicle was located. The the top of my list. The website responded and said that Darcars had the exact model I was looking for. So, I attempted to go to their website - couldn't find the car listed because the filters on Darcar's website don't allow me to search for this particular vehicle. By disabling all of the filters and scrolling through all of the screens, I was able to find the vehicle and clicked the button to schedule a test drive a week later. I received an auto response saying that my test drive was all set. The morning of the test drive, I once agian went to Ford's website and confirmed that Ford's website said the vehicle I was interested in was on the lot at Darcars. I then show up at the time I was supposed to for my test drive. I was greeted by Malomo, who couldn't find my information in the system. I then told him I was there to test drive a particular vehicle. Malomo claimed that the vehicle was still in transit. I told him that the website said it was on the lot, and had been for almost a week. I then asked him what he had in stock that was similar to what I was after and he said they didn't have anything. The next day, I show up at their stated opening time of 9 AM. I wait 10 minutes for someone to acknowledge me. After 10 minutes, I start looking for someone. I say hello to a guy half dressed in a suit and ask him if there's anyone there to help me look at a car. He said no, there wasn't anyone there. I confirmed with him that they did open at 9 AM, and he said yes, but no one was available to help me. I go back later that day and see the guy that told me no one was available. I tell him I have exactly 1 hour. He hands me off to Booker. Booker finds me a vehicle to drive, and takes me on a test drive. He then asks me about buying the car and I tell him that I'm looking at an offshoot of the vehicle we just test drove. He then begins to argue with me about the differences in engineering between the vehicle we just drove and the vehicle I'm looking for. As I was short on time, I told him that I would have to continue this conversation at a later date. To Booker's credit, he did call me back the next day and I worked out what he was saying. More
I recently leased a Ford from Darcars Ford Lanham and have spent every day of the past four months regretting it. I was lured into going with a Ford because they offer rebates for being a recent college have spent every day of the past four months regretting it. I was lured into going with a Ford because they offer rebates for being a recent college graduate and another for being a service member, both of which I qualified for. Because of the rebates, the price of the vehicle became more attractive and practical. When I leased the vehicle, I had to write a holding check until I could provide proof that I met the requirements for both rebates. I provided the proof that Ford requires, however, Darcars refused to recognize the rebates and cashed my holding checks. It has literally been months that I have now spent trying to get that money back. Hess, the General Manager, has made this entire process one of the most difficult and upsetting experiences that I have ever been a part of. He has been trying to take advantage of my age, financial status and lack of experience in car buying. He has been rude, disrespectful and dishonest. He has had me on hold for hours, hung up on me, and has straight up ignored my calls. Andrew, the General Sales Manager, never returns my calls and has brushed me off as if my concerns are not a big deal. I have never written a review online before, but I do hope that you read this and take my advice seriously. I have regretted doing business with Darcars Ford Lanham since the day I signed that contract. More

It was refreshing to have a salesman who knew the car inside and out. Beyond that, what sets him apart is that he truly had my best interests at heart and worked with me to get the best deal possible. The rest of the sales and management team were also second-to-none, as they worked every angle they could find to help me get the car I wanted at the price and monthly payment that I needed. On the back-end, Chico was easily the best I have ever dealt with on the finance side. Like Kwami, he was truly interested in meeting my needs and worked hard to make sure that my budget needs were met, while ensuring that I was able to maximize what I got. The staff was extraordinarily friendly, and I would not hesitate to recommend them or buy my next car from them. Thank you to the entire DarCars team. I am truly grateful. More

I've been in sales for 20+ years, and she was one of the best sales people I've ever encountered, extremely professional, really listened to anything I said and seemed to tune into the things I wasn't saying. She transitioned me throughout the process easily and continued to check on me. And when I got into my new car, she took an amazing amount of time to review and make sure I was comfortable with everything. I would go back to Darcars Lanham and recommend them, and especially Samuella, without hesitation! More
My Daughter graduated from College over the weekend (with honors). For her hard work, we searched for a new car, rather than pre-owned. We narrowed the search to three cars: Chevy Sonic, Toyota Yaris and Ford Fiesta. We searched for several days – test driving and conducting extensive “market research”. It was decided that we were going to purchase a Ford Fiesta. I’m a car guy – I love cars and have purchased several new cars in my life. Holly and I arrived at DARCARS in Lanham meeting with Andrew Schultz, General Sales Manager who quickly introduced us to Kwami Amegan, Sales Consultant. Right from the beginning “respect” for one another was evident. We told him the car was for Holly – he was so accommodating and VERY honest with the product. He did not speak over her and patient with all Holly’s questions. I was proud of her and pleased with the patience of Kwami. The first car he showed us had some “minor” deficiencies. Yes, I found some and Kwami pointed out others. When Mr. Schultz found out the number of defects, advised against this car. He said since this was Holly’s first car, he did not want the experience flawed in any way. To my surprise he upgraded the car to more options with very little price increase. Kwami was so accommodating to Holly making us feel very comfortable – never rushing us or making us feel uncomfortable at all – he valued our comments. Mr. Schultz stopped by several times to check on the progress, and demonstrated respect and patience to this new car buyer. They both explained the process and were more than accommodating. Then came the financing, where we met Marcel Greene. Mr. Greene was right in line with the Andrew and Kwami – forthright, honest, accommodating and patient. He was able to give Holly an even better rate than we had been pre-approved for, and went the extra step to ensure we were happy. There was no pressure throughout the entire process. At the end of the experience, Kwami surprised Holly by driving the car on to the show room floor so she could get the complete feel of the vehicle. Holly was beaming and I was so very proud of her! My deepest appreciation for the efforts of Andrew Schults, Kwami Amegan and Marcel Greene for making Holly’s first car buying experience such a positive one. I would HIGHLY recommend this dealership – and the three Gentlemen that contributed to this experience. More
Kept appointment by driving 2 hours in the rain to see a car they didn't have. They couldn't find the car. Didn't know where it was. Passed one guy off as Sales Manager. He wasn't. Said they'd bring the car they didn't have. They couldn't find the car. Didn't know where it was. Passed one guy off as Sales Manager. He wasn't. Said they'd bring the car to me when they found it - that's against company policy. Tried for 2 days and nothing but obfuscation. Seems the car was sent to auction and know one updated the inventory list or the web. Started the process on Saturday over the internet. Fell apart on Tuesday. As of Wednesday, the car was still on the net. New car sales may be fine but used cars is the pits. More

From the very beginning of the process to the very end, I was treated with attentive and compassionate customer care. She did not breeze through a scripted presentation and attempt to sell me something based on her own agenda. She patiently heard my concerns and tailored her discussion accordingly. She encouraged me to be positive and consider the best possible options for my children and me. She walked me through each phase of the process step-by-step and coached me when I needed assistance. She then passed the baton to Lisa, who continued with the upbeat encouragement, guiding me through all of the financial concerns and paperwork. This was truly a miracle process which took place in a miraculous time frame. I am 100% completely satisfied. I also appreciated the follow-up, which told me that this particular dealership is not simply concerned with making sales, but earning trust and building lifetime customers. I would recommend this dealership to any friend or family member in need of a purchase. More
I have had to change the ratings I had previously given for this dealer. Positive: This was the only dealership we found that would offer a great discount off the MSRP. We tried to deal with dealerships in our local area in Virginia, and the local Virginia dealerships would not negotiate at all, refusing to go below sticker price. Andrew and Ali were helpful and attentive until the end of the deal when we were getting ready to leave the dealership. Negative: Ali proceeded to tell us that he would not get his bonuses if we did not rate him all 5's in the future mailing Ford survey. Ali and Andrew proceeded to persuade/strongly encourage us to rate them all 5's in the DealerRater survey to the point of near coercion. It was uncomfortable to us and we felt forced to do their bidding instead of rate them as we saw fit. Another negative: My daughter had been driving the Fiesta to work for 3 days and when she found a blue Bud Lite beer can flattened under the passenger seat, she asked us why the dealership would let the car leave the premises with an open beer can. She does not drink, had kept the car locked, and there is only one explanation. Someone in the dealership drank the beer and hid it in the car, or a customer left the beer can in the car. Had she been pulled over by the police, she would have been humiliated, embarrassed, and possibly arrested due to the dealership's negligence. I phoned Andrew early Tuesday evening, May 8, and left a message. No call. Called again on Wednesday, May 9, and he claimed to have not received the previous message. I asked him if he knew the detailer for that car, he said yes, and I proceeded to explain what our daughter found in the car. He said he found it hard to believe that they would have left a beer can in the car, said it could not have happened, as if I were making it up. He then asked what he could do. I told him a phone call from the detailer with an apology to my daughter would be sufficient and he assured me he would have the detailer call my daughter Wednesday evening. This is Friday afternoon, and she never received a phone call and received no apology. Perhaps, they need someone to inspect the vehicles after the detailer does his thing. It could have been a nice experience for our daughter when purchasing her first car - a Ford Fiesta.UPDATE: Ali Soltani and Mr. Darvish sent our daughter an apology and a gift card saying they will be more careful releasing new cars to buyers in the future. They seemed sincere and we accept their apology. We will reconsider buying from Darcars in the future. More
