The initial buying experience was good... and found manager Mark Tolomeo to be very good. I went through the Costco referral program for my 2006 Toyota Sienna XLE, under the Certified Preowned program manager Mark Tolomeo to be very good. I went through the Costco referral program for my 2006 Toyota Sienna XLE, under the Certified Preowned program and warranty, which I purchased in June 2012.... At approx. 3000 miles later and 3 months. I decide to put on my GPS...screen... which the button was sticking... I decided to bring the car in for an oil change and to remedy the problem. This was the first time that I utilized the GPS, as this is a local driven minivan... when it was looked at, the service advisor Matt Hoff said that he saw a crack behind the display. This crack can only be seen, with the GPS engaged, because of a white background. I never put the GPS on, only utilizing the radio..and only seeing a dark gray/ black/ green screen and not seing the crack. In any case the dealership refused to fix it. I even opened a case with Toyota and they referred it back to the dealership on Oct. 24th, 2012. The dealership still has not called back. Jessica, customer relations manager, was to call me back on Oct. 26th- NEVER CALLED BACK! I reported their refusal to deal with the issue to the Costco referral program and Toyota... Toyota is less than helpful! They are putting it back on the dealer. Never had problems s like this with Honda... I will be so guided in the future! The dealer, I believe either never saw the defect in their Certified Preowned program checklist, or saw the defect and decided not to disclose it. Very disappointed..... In my opinion, I would not do business with Crystal Auto Mall, as they refuse to honor warranty issues and worse that they do not call you back, when they say they will. I think that they passed off this defect to me and now will not fix it. I am also going to open a case with the NJ Better Business Bureau if this is not resolved shortly. I went out of my way to service the car at this dealership, driving past 2-3 other Toyota dealerships, to show loyalty to the dealership... as well as purchasing $200.00 worth of accessories.. and this is how I am treated. My Advice..... STAY AWAY FROM CRYSTAL AUTO MALL... More
On Saturday 9/15/12, I was visiting various car dealerships researching which new car to by when I receive my bonus at work. After stopping at Kia/Hyundai and Chrysler/Dodge dealers I then stopped dealerships researching which new car to by when I receive my bonus at work. After stopping at Kia/Hyundai and Chrysler/Dodge dealers I then stopped off at Crystal. Right away my experience was so much better there. Mohamed was very friendly and informative without being pushy (unlike at those other dealerships). He took the time to understand my situation, again without pressuring me or dismissing me outright (unlike at those other dealerships), and allowed me ample time to check out the cars inside and out. When I realized that the FR-S is too small for me he recommended the tC and took the time to explain exactly why it would be better. He explained the no-haggle pricing structure as well as how to "build" my car on-line before ordering it with him. It was everything I wanted in a car-buying experience. Once I'm ready, I plan on going back to Crystal to buy my car. More
After two weeks of shopping for a car which was a total nightmare and walking out of several car dealerships I made a visit to Crystal Auto Mall. When I arrived I was greeted by Amr who had a very pleasant smile. I told him I was just looking and I may not make a decision that day because of my past two weeks experience. Amr took his time to listen to what I needed and never pressured me. Finally someone was interesting in my needs and not just selling a car. I could not believe the difference in service. He was very professional. After explaining and answering all my questions with such patience I finally made my decision to purchase a RAV4. My two weeks of stree was all gone. More
