I was quoted a price of $29.95 for a lube, oil and filter service. I asked for Pennzoil instead of the brand they use and was told it would add maybe $5.00 to the cost. I made an appointment for the next day and had the service done. At the completion the Service Rep tells me the total is about $60.00. I refuse to pay it and advise her of what I was told on the day before. She says, "I check with management and see what can be done". 10 minutes later I am asked to pay 39.95 and agree to that just to get out of there. This is exactly the kind of "bait and switch" this dealership tried when I bought the car 2 years ago. Then they tried to reduce the amount offered on my trade-in (which had been a written contract condition) but said "we'll check to see if management will honor the agreed upon value" when I told them I would not complete the deal. Typical bait and switch tactic and I should have known better the 2nd time. There won't be a 3rd, that is for absolute certain, even if they are the last dealership on Earth. More

Mike Cornell was my sales person. He drove out to my home to take me for a test drive, before I bought a V6, just to show me how powerful it was. Mike Maccini (Boston Mike) worked with me for almost six weeks to find the car that fit my budget, interest rate, and payment plan. I have been to enough dealerships to know car salesmen don't want you to weeks to find the car that fit my budget, interest rate, and payment plan. I have been to enough dealerships to know car salesmen don't want you to walk out the door. Having said that, Mike never pressured, pushed, or hassled me over these five plus weeks and went the extra mile time and time again to help me with my first new car experience. He let me feel comfortable the whole time in my decision making and never talked down to me as others car salesmen do. Even after three different test drives, another deal in Tampa (that was cheaper but not the car I wanted... a stick shift) he rallied to get me exactly what I wanted at the price I could afford. I know that most car salesmen would've given up on me within the first few days...thinking I'm wasting their time. NOT Mike. No matter how small a question, or something I didn't understand, he would CALL me and walk me through it. When I finally got the car I wanted at an interest rate he fought for with the financial dept/bank, (low considering my credit) he showed me every little thing about the car and all it's technology. He made the whole buying experience casual and not stressful for me. I will be referring my college students, friends, and family directly to Mike Maccini. It's quite simple actually.
