Dear Mel, Thank you for the feedback you provided here and in our conversations by phone. As you suggested it’s always a training opportunity when something doesn’t go as we all intend. As we had previously discussed the transaction did take longer than it should have, despite our best efforts you took delivery at the end of the month and numerous customers were taking delivery at the same time. This wasn’t by design and doesn’t happen to this extreme often. We are here as you know at our customer’s convenience and when we asked you to come in our schedule was clear and should have resulted in a quick delivery. I don’t want in any way minimize what took place that night with key issues and some technology concerns, but this is not the norm at Crown Buick and as I said to you by phone a simple and sincere apology was best and that’s what I offered. Our discussion some time afterwards was very constructive and as I said we appreciated the time you took to tell us how you feel, and your comments were relayed back to those team member involved including Craig Blacklidge our General Manager. I suggested some financial good will, $400 you could look at it as additional trade allowance and dinner on us. In between voice mails, emails and a phone call you said you appreciated it and were satisfied, I think you would agree we both considered the matter closed. You contacted a couple of weeks later by email after seeing some solicitation around the Thanksgiving Holiday, for a $500 Visa Gift Card, a separate promotion. As you stated I declined. We have tremendous respect for yours and Mrs. Sherwood time, we again regret the time and confusion that night, and again apologize for it.
