We thank OutofState for sharing his purchase experience with us and are gratified that he considered his salesperson to be excellent and the price to be right. When our technician inspected the vehicle, there was no indication that the motor mounts were broken. The customer, technician, and the sales manager were aware of the noise the car was making, but we couldn’t conclusively diagnose the cause. As mentioned in OutofState’s post, we did discount the vehicle an additional $150. We did this even though the vehicle had 144,000 miles at the time of purchase, and was being sold “As Is” with all faults and defects. These disclosures were made verbally, in writing, and were acknowledged and signed off by the purchaser at time of delivery.
