WE HAD PROBLEMS. SALESMAN DID POOR EXPLANATION ON CAR. WE HAD TO WAIT OVER 45 MIN. TO CLOSE. THEY NOW AGREED TO SEND ME ANOTHER KEY. STILL WAITING More
I had the mis fortune of walking in and being greeted by Buster. I explained to Buster what I wanted and he started his high pressure sales game. He first started by belittling my trade and explaining that nobody would give me what I was asking, despite the fact I had 3 written offers and ultimately got more than those offers at Covert GMC in Austin. When I explained to him I had a letter from my bank allowing me X amount he stated that the terms and total dollar allowance could be beat. All I had to do was run our credit with GM. I explained we have worked hard, very hard, to get our credit where it was and did not want our credit hit by i quiries. He PROMISED - REPEATEDLY that it would only be hit by GM financing. I agreed to allow it 1 TIME. Ends up he hit our credit 12 different times. We ended up financing at Covert GMC in Austin with GM so all of the otjer inquiries were unneccesary and damaged my credit for the next 2 years. After I was unable to stomach his bully sales tactics I left and went to Covert GMC Austin the following day. He called repeatedly the next day. I mean ALOT. He was sending pictures ov vehicles we could not afford with promises of gauranteed financing, he said he was approved by the general manager to offer me $41k for my trade vs the $38k he ridiculed the day before. When I respinded to that text he rescinded the offer and then went back to his sales tactics. When he found out I was buying from Covert GMC in Austin he started sending me pictures of vehicles that were well out of my price range and saying he had my financing taken care of. My sales person at the time was blown away by what he was doing. I finally had to block him because it was a call or text every 3-5 minutes for hours. STEER CLEAR. This man wasted my time, peace of mind and damaged my credit through his lies and high pressure sales. Nat Tucker More

At Covert, appointments aren't appointments I called to do warranty service on my 2017 Silverado. Two weeks later the date arrived and they picked up my truck in west Austin. I called the next morning to xx status and they said they didn't think they had my truck. One hour later they discovered they did have it, but hadn't looked at it. When a service mgr called me back he said that they were a week behind and an appointment is basically to get in queue at the dealership for a week and be without your car. Frustrating news for someone who needs his truck for work. I asked for a loaner, if it would be gone a week and they said only if I bought it there. I asked them to bring my truck back at once, I got it back 3 days later. What a terrible place. I've bought 3 new cars there and will never return. More

Most unprofessional business in Texas ! This has been by far the worst experience I have ever dealt with. Truck has been in their service for over two weeks and every time we call to check o This has been by far the worst experience I have ever dealt with. Truck has been in their service for over two weeks and every time we call to check on it we are told a different story. They don't deliver on a follow up call and don't seem to care about customer satisfaction. There is never given a clear explanation of the status of the truck repair and every time we call we get a new date for truck repair being done. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone looking for honest genuine service. More

Worst Chevy service I've ever experienced If there was an option to put 0 stars I would have. I had a commercial truck go down in their area and it was towed into the dealership. EJ in servi If there was an option to put 0 stars I would have. I had a commercial truck go down in their area and it was towed into the dealership. EJ in service took days to respond to voicemails. When I finally got a hold of EJ he told me the driveshaft bolts were missing and wanted to know how I was going to pay for them to be replaced. The drive shaft bolts were removed by the towing company to properly tow the vehicle. They did not even touch the vehicle for almost a week because of the drive shaft bolts. After I explained to them that the they we removed by the towing company and EJ finally got to work. Again I had to call the dealership for days to get a response. EJ explained to me that it was a bad battery and that he had to order one and it would be done in the morning. I asked EJ to give me a call when it was ready. The next day I had to call EJ again and this was about 4:00 in the afternoon. He then explained to me that it was a bad alternator and that they were working on it and it would be ready in the morning. I sent my driver there the next morning only to find out they had not completed the work. I then called the GM and owner Chance Covert to explain the situation. Chance told me that "that is just the way it is in Austin Texas" and that I was lucky it didn't take 3-4 weeks to replace an alternator. I explained to him that I have dealt with a lot of GM dealers in the past and that this is unacceptable. His exact words were "good luck buddy" as he hung up the phone on me. I will be filing a complaint to General Motors and would highly discourage anyone from doing business with these people. More

They lie, replace things without your knowledge Okay let's start from the beginning. I took my car in because I kept hearing wind/whistle noise coming from my driver side door on my new 17 Cruze RS Okay let's start from the beginning. I took my car in because I kept hearing wind/whistle noise coming from my driver side door on my new 17 Cruze RS. They came And picked it up. When they return it I didn't notice the small window was replaced ( I work overnight and didn't see it) I drove to dealership and Jim handled it. Still I can hear wind/whistle noise. So he promised me he would order the 2nd part and call me when it came in. This was way before Christmas. That part came in December 19. Here I am calling on January 10 because no one notified me. All Jim can say is I don't know when parts come in....funny your the manager of service. Shouldn't you know everything that happens in your shop? Plus he had no idea that part of the weather stripping includes a new window. So now all he can say is he has to schedule it and call me back. I wonder how long this is going to take. He asked me before to remove my first bad review on the promise that he would take care of the car. He lied and here I am calling them about this part. Get it together covert Bastrop and Jim!!!! Now I'm waiting to see who contacts me asking me to remove this post!!!! I'm so done with covert!! I'll never buy from this company again and neither will my family because of the issues. More
