I have never had an experience at Ford until Cherae- I actually followed her from a prior dealership. I was looking for a very particular year, make, model, trim, and color. Awesome car buying experience even on a Saturday. I hate the process of buying a car. The Corwin website is a great tool in conjunction with CarFax. I started looking over a month ago. Worked with the internet department over text message trying to buy a car they had just listed. At first the internet sales person seemed helpful but as time went on things went down hill. First the car trying to buy a car they had just listed. At first the internet sales person seemed helpful but as time went on things went down hill. First the car very obviously had winter tires on it and they tried to tell me they were all season tires. Then they conceded that the tires were winter tires but it’s fine to use them during other times of the year. I live in an area where summer temperatures routinely hit triple digits, winter tires would preform poorly and not last in these conditions. We moved on and then I made and offer on the car and it took them 2 hours to respond and they didn’t even address my offer, they just sent a link to their application. I told them I wasn’t going to fill anything out until we had a number worked and asked what they thought of my offer. After an hour they told me they couldn’t discount the car at all(why not just lead with that?). I responded with an offer much closer to what they were initially asking, they then said someone else was checking out the car and that I couldn’t make a deposit at that time. 3 hours later they message me that the car had sold. Feels a little weird that while I’m in the middle of negotiating a price that they can just pull the rug out from under the negotiations. Not a good experience. More
