Cortese Lincoln installed 4 brand new tires on wife’s Corsair. Tires were around $1000 and $160 to mount and balance. After a week or so, 3 of the tires were losing air slowly. Take the vehicle back a Corsair. Tires were around $1000 and $160 to mount and balance. After a week or so, 3 of the tires were losing air slowly. Take the vehicle back and they want $500 to replace 3 valve stems. They want $40 per valve stem when I can buy OEM from a Ford dealership for $12. Charge a $200 diagnostic fee with the rest labor. Come to find out when they install new tires they don’t replace the valve stems. That’s a first for me. Every tire shop I’ve dealt with puts in new valve stems and charges around $20 per tire to mount and balance. They are double per tire and no valve stems. Hope they are not wondering why I won’t be back. I wonder how many end up back at the dealership and end up paying. Going to cost me $100 at a local shop to get them replaced. Let’s be honest, this type of thievery is why dealerships are frowned upon. Top of the line tires on a luxury vehicle and they skimp out on valve stems. If they would have done the right thing in the first place there would be no issue. There are people everyday getting taken advantage of by dealerships like this. I will be contacting Lincoln consierge so they are aware of this type of treatment. They should be ashamed at that price. More
