Actually, looked forward to going. Staff is always great and I got to eat snacks and have a couple of hours of time to myself while a recall problem was fixed. Everyone was very nice and respectful. I made my service appointment online and got a confirmation and reminder but when I showed up at the appointment time, my reservation was not there. A time-wasting run-around! Ordered a part to correct a potentially dangerous defect THAT KIA ITSELF HAD IDENTIFIED! Appointment made and (theoretically) replacement part orde Ordered a part to correct a potentially dangerous defect THAT KIA ITSELF HAD IDENTIFIED! Appointment made and (theoretically) replacement part ordered well in advance. Dropped off the car as scheduled, and waited, and waited, and waited. First, the story was "we don't have the part." Then the story was "we ordered the wrong part." Blame shifted to the regional office and the computer system -- ANYONE BUT the people actually responsible! Waited some more to order the correct part when, MIRACLE OF MIRACLES, it turned out they DID have the correct part all along! Waited again for the work to FINALLY BE DONE! Of course, all through the comedy of errors (to be kind and not profane) the service manager who was actually responsible for the mess had disappeared from view! Hiding in the back, perhaps? Yet another mess at an incompetent NC Kia dealership (zero for three attempts, so far). More
