She let us know that although she did not have the exact car that would be best for us on site, she could get it for us. Within an hour she had found the perfect car for us within our budget. She contacted the other dealer where the car was located out of state and arranged for a transfer immediately. Less then 24 hours later the car was delivered to Ditschman Ford, cleaned, prepped and ready for us! We met with the Financing Mgr, Chris Callahan, and was so surprised to have such a pleasant and "not pushy" experience purchasing the car. He too was wonderful. This dealership exceeded the expectations I had even, after reading so many good reviews on the internet from various sources. Surprise, all of it is true. Both the salesman Peter, and Jerry the GM were refreshingly upfront, and the fact that we were so close to our target price when Pete came back with the frist offer shows the aggressive pricing structure to be a great alternative to 'degrees of haggling'. We met right in the middle and were able to go home with the car that evening. Kudos to Britt in F&I for juggling our deal with the few others that came in that day. He was a pleasure to deal with (and F&I guys are usually the ones you dread talking to...) and made the experience fun while explaining everything in detail. The entire experience was wonderful, and represents the Ford brand in the best possible way. In any event, after two disheartening set backs at the other reputable dealerships, I had become convinced that I was not likely to find the deal I was looking for and that I simply did not understand modern day car sales.
