Lincoln MKZ 2013 I was interested in either a one-year-old Lincoln or new Ford Fusion. I saw an ad on the Internet for a late model Lincoln and decided to call about I was interested in either a one-year-old Lincoln or new Ford Fusion. I saw an ad on the Internet for a late model Lincoln and decided to call about it even though the dealer was in Flemington, NJ and I was in (Northeast) Philadelphia. I was connected with a salesman, who happened to be Joe Valenti. The car I was calling about, if i recall correctly, did not have the Navigation system (GPS), which is very helpful to an old guy. However, Joe, in the same phone call, told me he had a 2013 Lincoln which had the Navigation system, and otherwise was loaded. At my age, it was rather important that I try to get as many toys in the car as possible. I could not come to Flemington that day but made an appointment with Joe for two days later (on a Saturday morning). I could not understand how the car had fewer than 1,000 miles (you think of various kinds of reasons why but this was clarified on Saturday morning). Upon arrival, I noticed that Joe had the car parked right in the front line of cars for sale and shortly thereafter we took a short test drive. I really did not want to trade in my 2002 Mercury Grand Marquis at the book rate. The car had served me very well in the past 12 years and still ran like a new one (except for a few body dings, thanks to some anonymous bad parkers in the various parking lots of the Philadelphia area). For a 2002 car, my 70,000 miles driven was very low usage. But..... that car did not have all the toys of the new ones and all in all, that was the reason why, when Joe asked me if I wanted to proceed with the 2013 Lincoln I was ready to say "YES". Car prices always have been an enigma to me but I figured the only way I can get the toys and enjoy them at my age was to proceed. As for the dealer, Joe was excellent and congenial and the dealership processed the sale that very day. I left the Mercury in Flemington and drove home in the car with the toys with a smile on my face. More
