Excellent customer service. However, they usually have multiple personnel checking cars in for service in the Service lane. 2018 GMC Sierra 34,000 miles. Made an appointment, brought vehicle in for transmission not shifting correctly causing a clunking noise. Service tech wrote me up.and told he they Made an appointment, brought vehicle in for transmission not shifting correctly causing a clunking noise. Service tech wrote me up.and told he they would need a few days. After two days I got a call from service writer and he said vibration was caused by my tires not being balanced. I ask him if the service tech spun the wheels on the balancer and I was told there was no need to because he’s a trained professional and is 100 percent sure that was the cause. The service writer stated $80 to balance all four wheels and $199 diagnostic fee. I explained to no avail that that was not the cause as vehicle only vibrated when shifting. So later that day I was called by service writer and was told vehicle is now riding smooth after wheels balanced and test drive. I picked up the vehicle and proceeded out on the highway. Immediately upon pulling out onto the highway I felt a major vibration at 25 miles per hour like I had before. I immediately turned around and returned to the service department. The service tech saw me and immediately ran to the back to get the service manager. The service manager came out and I asked him to go for a test drive. He agreed and I gave him the keys as he drove. Again we pull out on the highway and we both feel and hear the vibration during shifting. He shook his head in disgust and says I need a fluid change in transmission as there was a service bulletin for faulty transmission fluid from factory. I told the service manager that they charged me $300 to balance my tire and he said he would refund my money. I had to leave the vehicle again for another day. Next day I went back and vehicle was running smooth and power train warranty was still in effect! Moral of the story maybe you should listen to your customers description and do your due diligence by ruling out the easy solutions since your service techs are “trained professionals!” Thank you to the service manager who did the best of the situation and corrected the incompetence.
