I would have rated them higher except no one offered to wash my car and they did not. Previously that service has been offered. I also was not totally pleased last time I complained about my squeaking brak wash my car and they did not. Previously that service has been offered. Well, I was hoping they would be able to find out why my shifting from gear to gear and getting stuck in reverse 2 times. The tranmission person said there was nothing wrong with the tranny. He put it on a shifting from gear to gear and getting stuck in reverse 2 times. The tranmission person said there was nothing wrong with the tranny. He put it on a diagnostic read out and came up with zero. The gears still make that grinding sound when shifting from park to reverse, neutral, to drive and then back up again, with reverse being the prononced gear making the grinding. I was told that it was natural for a 1500 ram to make that noise. If you say it is so, the I believe it. If not, then we will be coming back to fix the issue. The mechanic said there was nothing to fix. Your service advisor Bill West worked hand over hand with me keeping me informed what was transpiring. Although Dodge had my truck from Mon to Fri. I guess it is working. I am worried that it will happen again when my truck is no longer under warranty. It now has 66,670 miles and will be 7 years old on Sept. 11, 2011. Thank you for taking the time to read my review. I wish it could be of a more positive review, but when a vehicle makes noise, there has to be something wrong. I am hoping for the best here. Bill was very professional and courteous, both on the phone and in person. He made me feel special, like I assume all customers like to be treated. However, on hindsight, he lied to me and overcharged me compared to what he told me he would. 1. I told him the door needed an actuator, but he charged me $50 to "diagnose" it anyway. 2. He told me that if he couldn't find the problem with the starter, he wouldn't charge me for the diagnosis. And he didn't. So why did he charge me for unneeded diagnosis for the door? (He said it was for labor taking the door apart, etc.) I didn't realize it until I got home, and I thought trying to get my $$ back on a he-said-he-said wouldn't be worth the trouble, so I didn't try. 3. I TOLD him the started problem was intermittent, and I TOLD him I wanted him to fix it. Nevertheless, he called back and said, "I tried it like 30 times and couldn't duplicate the problem." Find the loose wire and fix the darn thing! 4. I DID like the detailed report I got (included in the $50??) which tells me all about my tires, my fluids, etc. Overall, I was treated better personally than most "garages", but I feel like I was taken to the preoverbial cleaners ($73 for a brake light bulb!) compared to what Mom & Pop Shop would have done. Hence the mixed numbers. Next time I'll go to a different Dodge dealer. More
Purchaced oil changes for 5yrs. When I purchaced truck.It started out great, they checked out everything, told me what was needing to do,Naturely nothing that was covered by my over $2000 dollar extended war started out great, they checked out everything, told me what was needing to do,Naturely nothing that was covered by my over $2000 dollar extended warrinty ! When I took it somewhere else for repairs or did them myself they more or less told me they werent going to tell me anything anymore! So now when I take it in for service they dont do anything but change the oil! dont really look at anything! They even come up with tings I have already done or replaced so they are not even looking !!!! THE QUICK OIL CHANGE PLACES TREAT YOU BETTER! This was my 3rd.purchace from Chapman AND MY LAST ! More
