I went in to buy a truck with my family. I had a specific truck in mind and my budget was $250 for 72 months. After negotiating the price for a while (which included maybe increasing the loan to a specific truck in mind and my budget was $250 for 72 months. After negotiating the price for a while (which included maybe increasing the loan to a 75 month load which I was against and said no) the salesman finally came to me and said we got what you want for $250 a month. By that time we (myself and my family) were there for over 3 hours and my baby was starting to get cranky so I wanted to sign the paper work as fast as I could. When I got into the finance office the finance manager Sohil Aliakbar asked me if I wanted a warranty for my truck and I said no. After I said no he said it does not really matter because the loan comes with a warranty since it is a credit union loan. While signing the papers I was distracted my my son because he was cranky and I did not notice that the loan was increased to an 84 month (but the price was still $250 a month) loan and there was an optional warranty added on for $2,200 without me agreeing to it. On the drive home my wife noticed that the loan was for 84 months. I decided to drop my wife and kid off at home and go back to the dealership to discuss this but when I got home and turned off the truck, I was not able to start the truck again because of a safety chip that they did not put into the truck. I called the dealership and told them that I can not turn the truck on and that I did not agree to an 84 month loan. I spoke to the salesman who sold me the truck and he said he will send someone out to put in the safety chip so I can start the truck. After waiting an hour and nobody showing up I decided to call again. This time I spoke to the sales manager Mark Johnson and he was extremely rude and condescending. He didn't even listed to the fact that I could not start the truck and he said that it is my fault that I signed the paperwork without and they don't have to do anything about it. He said that I can try to take them to small claims court but nobody would do anything. I told that that it was fraud to tell me that I can get the loan for $250 a month for 72 months but then have me sign paperwork that was $250 a month for 84 months. He said he doesn't know what we discussed and it is my fault for trusting them when they told me $250 a month for 72 months and signing the paperwork that said 84 months. After arguing for a while he finally agreed to taking off the warranty which kept the payments $250 a month but decreased the length of the loan to 72 months. This was the worst car buying experience. They quoted me a price for 72 months but without telling me they have me sign a for the correct price but they added a year onto the load. They asked me if I wanted a warranty and I said no but then they told me the warranty was already included so I didn't have a choice. More
It was covered under warranty. Mr. Andrews was pleasant, knowledgeable and kept me informed of the work progress. He offered me a ride home. Everything was good, except that they did not honor the 9.99 oil change for VIP Card members which they had said that it will be valid for the life of the car until I own that car. They said that the upper 9.99 oil change for VIP Card members which they had said that it will be valid for the life of the car until I own that car. They said that the upper management removed that special. If they could not honor what they gave, then why should they give such card at all? I was not at all please and it was very disappointing. Other than that Joe was excellent in helping out with things and the service was very good. I might skip this dealership since they do not honor their promise. More

This car buying experience was the smoothest & most pleasant I have ever had. I was so pleased with all of the service I received & walked away feeling 100 % satisfied with the purchase. I would recommend anyone buying a car use Costco Auto Purchase program & take their business to Chapman Hyundai Scottsdale. I drove all the way from Queen Creek to do business with them as I was so impressed w/Andrew after having spoken w/him on the phone. Unfortunately Andrew was not available at the time I was able to make it in to look at the car. I was given Terry to work with & was just as impressed with him. Good job on tire rotation and oil change. Tightened the rims so that they didn't rattle anymore and they washed and vacuumed for no extra charge. It took an hour and 45 minutes but it was worth it in the l rims so that they didn't rattle anymore and they washed and vacuumed for no extra charge. You guys should probably get another wash and vacuum guy to help speed things up because it would have only taken an hour. More
A year ago, I bought a Sonata and now am regretting this decision. I have always purchased a car every three years and have quite a bit of experience in what type of service should be required. Already after 1 year and 15,000 miles, Hyundai has charged me for almost as much work as I have ever had in any three year period. In addition, I was promised "lifetime" oil changes for $9.99. In less then a year, I was told they were pulling that from me. This is not the type of business I wish to be associated with. Therefore, Chapman Hyundai Scottsdale will not be were I go for any work or to buy again. Nowadays, with Facebook, yelp and other social media, the consumer, at least, has a voice. More
